It’s no secret that Nile Rodgers has worked with Daft Punk on their new project. However, what they have worked on hasn’t really been officially announced yet.
And while it’s not the announcement that most of us fans are waiting for, Nile Rodgers’ recent “hype” for the 4th album is something to tide us over. Rodgers recently met up with Daft Art’s Paul Hahn to discuss the recent happenings with the album, as stated on his blog.
That’s not all. In an interview with Mixmag Rodgers gave Daft Punk high praise, calling them “geniuses”, and stated that their collaborative efforts were as great as much of his past work, such as his collaborations with David Bowie, Duran Duran, and Madonna. With such talk, you have to wonder what the new material is going to be like, but Rodgers says it’s going to be “cutting edge” and unexpected. Due to Daft Punk’s infamous secrecy not much more can be said. We wait patiently.
