I'm in! I've got 5 posted, as well as others. Danceable tracks are running kind of low on my end, I've got two potentially danceable tracks so far for my LP if that's what we're aiming for. As well as several undance-able, Emotion-like songs. (The Daft Punk track, Emotion, I mean)

Hey Dark, Don't finalize any of my tracks yet, I'm working on a new one, and I think this one is one of my best. It's got more of a dark, rock feel and uses a sample from a famous rock song (but it's disguised so well, I'll give 1000 cool points to anyone who can figure it out the sample, and I just don't give those away.)

I found the name Zeb by picking a random pacific typhoon name. I chose Typhoon Zeb, but also considered Xangsane. For Haze Prelude on my LP, I got a dictionary and picked a word. Haze. I flipped a couple pages and picked a word. Prelude.

Or you can make up a word. Daftendirekt, Crescendolls, Technologic. :P

yep. i do make up words sometimes for track names...electronix, raxa, high time, namachine etc

The names of my tracks usually change several times before I pick one. "Borealis" was originally supposed to be called "Aurora" but that sounded too overused. "Ignis Phantasm" was originally "Ignis Phasmatis". And the first title I had for my new track was "Eyot", but that didn't suit the song.

What's even better than making up words is plays on words, like "Conniption Pit". Heheh, I love that one.

What program do you use to make your own songs?

I choose a very complicated method. All of the percussion is made in Acoustica BeatCraft. Most of the synths are made with my ancient Casio MA-101. I sometimes use my friend's microKorg. All my guitars are made by me playing guitar.

Okie dokie. Just a note, it's LINER not LINEAR. Two entirely different words.

So what packaging style are we looking at here? Cardboard envelope a la promo CD? If you were intending to release it like a normal CD, I would suggest it should at least have an 'insert' with artist info, or individual track info.

Here's my cover idea. the big roman numeral can easily be changed (it's text data) to II, III, and IV if/when we put together another volume.

I think you should make the kick drum a tad heavier and more noticable, (example: High Life) though. Just my opinion. Makes the song more danceable, better still, awesome sample, nice filtering, also.

I totally understand, i wouldn't either.
But doing it any other way would be like releasing Kitsune Maison, or Ed Rec on labels that have nothing to do with any of the artists. And with that I'll let it rest.

as for everyone else, ive finally decided to "Release" this on the daft club records, as it does involve us members, and is meant to be about us being brought together with our own material.

The drums and the bass riff are softsynths. The piano bits are all made on my Casio ToneBank MA-101 (with a lot of effects added on in Nero, mind you). The guitar was me playing the guitar. The record scratch bits are samples I found on the interweb.
