View Full Version : Please Vote for My Radiohead Remix
Spud in Disguise

Hey guys! My band have taken part in Radioheads remix competition and we need to get some votes for our work. If you could listen to the song and then vote for it if you like it that's be really cool. I've included it all right in this post, so it couldn't be easier :)
Thanks in advance for your votes, and I hope you like it, it's the first time we've really messed around with vocal samples at all - so even if we don't get many votes we are proud of the work! :)

Brilliant, the guitar riff and the piano mixed in with the New Age~ish kinda sounds are so calming, especially the last 30 seconds or so of the track, perfect to listen to when you wanna chill out, I love these kinda beats, they make me feel nostalgic.
Good luck with the competition Daft-min!

I downloaded the stem tracks but they arent compatible with any of the programs I have. Except for GarageBand, but that doesnt allow you to enter decimals in the BPM number, which sucks. DAMN YOU APPLE!

Thanks for the comments every one! Much appreciated :D And the votes! Unfortunately we still have a long way to go (and my blatant Daft Club spamming isn't swaying it all that much!). I guess you're all just lucky I didn't send out a mass PM about it..... ;)
If you fancy passing the link to your friends I won't complain :)
As for how we did it, we simply used Ableton Live - he, sound familiar ;)

I knew you used Ableton Live cause of the synthy sounds you used. Anyways, great remix for a great band. Your remix is almost better than the original.

Haha! Well I'd never even heard the original before jumping into this project - I suppose that might have helped really.
Thanks for the kind words any way guys :)

That must have helped a lot. I've been listening to Radiohead a lot and the more you listen to them, the harder it seems to remix their songs.

Now all we need is 4.155425219941349 times as many votes and it'll be at the bottom of the top 10!
