Shiny Tracksuits!

So I went to the fabric store and got some patterns and some material so finally make my Guy suit!

I know this is an image of the action figure and not him but you get the idea.

I'll post more images as it comes along.

I plan on making the backpack to hold the batteries for the helmet. Only 3 more months to finish this bad boy for ACEN.

I just finished the pants last night. I'll post some images here in a few hours. Finding the gold material was really easy. I went to this place called G Street Fabrics here in DC and they had several options. The stuff I got was $25 a yard so the pants alone cost about $75 for just the material not including the pattern or the lining I used. You can get cheaper fabric for about $10 a yard but it's not quite as shiny.

Total I've spent about $150 for material and patterns for the jacket/pants. But keep in mind, it's because I got expensive fabric that visually is the same.

got a ways to go there buddy.....

for the meantime.....raw material. the black vinyl is used for outerwear and the gold is sorta stretchy, got in the evening wear department, think it's normally used for ball gowns n' such.
