But you can't make them rush damnit!
Rushing would ruin the epicness of the album.

Lol you'll feel the need to camp outside the music shop untill it opens.

You may not like me for this lol, but if I'm honest, I never thought they'd bring anything out this year. So if anything emerges in september, I'll be shocked, and happy globviously lol.
I just don't see that they're going to stick to any 'patterns' or anything, and maybe drop the whole robot thing. I dunno.

I really thought it would come out in march, and I was really disappointed when it didn't...
But it's worth the wait guys, it's the next freaking dp album, it can't anything less than amazing!:D

Here's something for yah. When did Daft Punk ever say "Hey not only do we like hiding in our suits for anonymity but we also love to be WAYYYYYYYY MYSTERIOUS and use advanced (as in 2nd grade) mathematical patterns to determine their release dates.

And trust me, we'll know about an album far ahead of its release. Even if Daft Punk wanted to spring it SUDDENLY on the public, that'd be impossible, since such things are worked out with production companies/distributers long in advanced, and they'll be promoting the crap out of it.

Unless they do some sort of "In Rainbows" giveaway... which is not going to happen (except for the fact that they stated that they would like doing something similar to the "In Rainbows" pay-your-price system, but also that they wouldn't do it in such a radical way.)

I hope they do something. Like their site stated after the Tokyo Hoax, their next tour WILL be in '10 or '11. They wouldn't do two world tours on one CD, especially one that is being criticized for not living up to Discovery. I'm kind of hoping they go back to their roots and get that "Homework" feeling back.

sadly, they won't. Guy-Man has stated that they are not interested at all in doing something similar to what they've already done. he said something along the lines of, "Were always thinking, 'what can we do now that we couldn't last album?' we have no interest in doing something we've done before"
while, this keeps things fresh and innovative, we all want another album like HW or Discovery

True, but in 2001 they did do a few one-off gigs here and there I believe. The Fabric gig they did to raise money for the Red Cross springs to mind.

I think Daft Punk are going to take time on their new album...I was one of the ones so hoping and believing for a march release, but I think if they're gonna release anything it will be later in the year, 9/9/9 or not. I'm hoping it will be a bit like Aura Rock/ ATW/HBFS style, but not remove from their usual ways.

I read in an interview somewhere where the interviewer said "How does your new album sound?" and thomas replied "It's always too early to know how it will sound"

I could be wrong.

is there a seperate thread for this fake album? i think its deserving,someone clearly but alot of effort into it.and its definitely a proper daft punk fan,not someone with no interest in them.thats obvious from "bronski" (alot of people think the "aura rock" part of steam machine/too long sample a bronski beat track) and the tracks featuring pharrell and todd (there have been rumours both are working on the new album with them). hope featuring justice i think is be based on a justice fake from last year.some of the track names are too hilariously generic to even possibly be real though (ghetto stereo,robodisco,distant future).

well done to whoever created it though!
