It wasn't. There was another track, but I think Daft Punk selected Drive to be released.

I remember someone (maybe it was be i cant even remember) asking the soma records tdc account that was around here during the release of drive, about the second song, and he said something like 'it is not planned to be released', but i suppose in 5 years when they celebrate 25 years, who knows?

I remember reading somewhere that Soma let Daft Punk themselves choose which song to release. If Daft Punk doesn't want to release it then it won't happen. If they change their mind later, then I guess it could be released.

It sounds nothing like what they were creating back then, that's for sure. I really doubt it. Magnetic Centerpiece is just a good fake that got too much attention because someone said 'DAFT HAVE CONFIRMED THIS IS REAL' in their video descrip.
