If I had to guess the prop makers for Tron Legacy were given raw castings of Thomas and Guy's helmets, and the prop department finished them themselves.

As far as Thomas' helmet looking roundish... I think that's just a perspective of his helmet we are not used to seeing. Its not too often DP are looking at the camera straight on, like so:

haha, nice, I can't wait until this movie comes out. got to say though, his helm (:happy2:) does look a bit more round than usual. I gotta agree that it might be the viewing angle, with them looking straight at the camera...:gm:

Daft Punk helmets have always evolved since 1999 (especially that of Thomas).

For example the helmets were a bigger can and before there was a smile on that of Thomas that he did not anymore.

Personally I say that once again they could (very slightly) change their helmets.

agreed. Guy-Man's didnt look so hot imo on the figures, but this picture drastically changes my vote.

I think it gives them a sharper more aggressive professional look. ;)
