Tron Costume

Im not sure if im aloud to post this here so please dont get mad at me. I am making a tron costume and the character im making is Rinzler(tron). Any ideas on how i should get it started?

Actually, "Rinzler" is one of the least lit up characters in the movie. It'd probably be easier to work with nice and bright orange/red LEDs. HIGHLIGHT FROM HERE>That way, you could theoretically use white LEDs on a separate circuit and change back into Tron with the flip of a switch.<TO HERE FOR SPOILERS

I would recommend joining the Replica Prop Forum, there is currently a thread right now about the costumes from Tron Legacy. You will most certainly find some troll free help there.

Thanks everyone!! I just started to make it! Ill put pictures up asap! Ive decided to get orange led lights for the body and lil ones for the helmet and then im going to make the disk thingy with el wires and ive also decided im going to make a sam flynn costume too!

yeah i saw rinzler and he was awesome so when i make it im gonna put 2 different color leds in it and maybe just use el tape for the body since im getting a couple rolls

They got Thomas almost perfect in that photo fairplay but yeahh gotta say where is Guyman? Some of the other costumes didn't look as good as they possibly could but I know I couldn't do any better. Good luck on trying to replicate Rinzler cause he looks pretty hard to do.

That Thomas helmet is one of Dungbeatle's paper models. Honestly I am surprised the guy who made it is not a member here.

As for why there is no Guy-Man, I'm guessing its just because His helmet is harder to make without the proper resources? Only the costumers know the answer to that one.

But, back on topic, I would say I also think that using two different channels that change colors would work better and possibly easier that using EL Wire.
