I'm sure LOTS of people would love to be able to break down some of your synth patches especially the analogue synth you used on track 2 "the grid" around 47 seconds in. It's got a nice plucky bite to it (sharp attack).
While it's not that tricky to re-create, I'd love to know what software / hardware / equipment you guys were "actually" using. Maybe release a few of the synth patches so we can break em down?
Is there going to be any material / rexmin magazine / dvd's coming out about the making of soundtrack?
Thanks on behalf of all budding sound designers / home studio musicians.
PS. Soundtrack ROCKED, make me kind of proud you guys made it.
It was better than the film!

umm. You do know that this site isn't run by Daft Punk themselves? :)

lol
nice try dude, but your robots are in another castle/these aren't the droids you're looking for.
it's a shame, 'cause you seem to really know what you're talking about!
to answer your question, i have no idea if there's been any information released about the tech specs of the soundtrack yet, but we do have some threads detailing some of the hardware and software they've used on previous projects and which may or may not have shown up again in the score. i don't have any links, but you might want to take a look around some of the more musical subforums to see what you can discover on your own.

man, wish they really were on here! haha.
in relation to your post, I've read they used some really old synths. So retro infact, that apparantly when Thomas was putting one into the studio they used in L.A, a pack of condoms from the 70's fell out a compartment in the back.
I forget where that quote came from now, I think online or a magazine. Mixmag or Dazed.

Maybe they'll make an appearance? Sites are never run by their stars, but I bet someones will have some inside info ;)
Anyway, I'd love to break down some of their synth sounds. I've been checking around, but I can't find much about the making of the Tron album A.T.M. Maybe more stuff will come out later.
The orchestration (mainly the composition and layering) is pretty cool anyway.
To base the theme on arcade tunes of the 80's is pure genius. I bow my head.

Only synth I can almost say for sure they used are a Roland TB 303 for the synth sound in Tron Legacy (End Titles).
Also, read this article for a some insight into what they use and how they work:
