hey, i made a thomas helmet for halloween and im thinking of selling it but i need to fix a few bits and it could do with a re spray , anyone know any good ways of getting a mirror chrome effect ? i tried a few diffrent ways ie chrome spray and a Lacquer spray but the clossest i could get is the link ive added , but the lacquer made it dull grey and chrome alone got marks off finger prints and wipes , any help would be great , any buyers inbox me :-D thanxs :happy2:

have you used some primers?

yeah i used a white then grey primers then the chrome then the lacquer but as soon as i used the lacquer it made it go like a dull grey , then i re did the whole thing again only useing the chrome after primer and it gets marks in it when i touch it like a dull mark , maybe the paint isnt taking too well ? its a night mare lol ill add a link so u can see what i mean in my albums

hey , yeah i used primer but im not getting a lasting chrome finish , i want it like mirror looking

hey thanx , but im in the uk , i see what your getting at thou , i just didnt know if it was the surface i was spraying onto , or maybe the spray :-s
