In this article, which is in both French and English, Daft Punk and the interviewer enter into a pretty deep philisophical discussion of the Alive 2007 live show and where they draw the line between being themselves and playing the role of the robots. How do Daft Punk react to the masses crowded in front of their pyramid night after night, given that they are limited in what they can actually see and hear with the helmets on? How much room for improvisation is there within a rigid, scripted live set? And do they ever get tired of their old material?
At one point, the interviewer brings up an interesting notion. While teasing DP that, because of the robot suits, they could be "watching football on TV while anybody could stand in for them at their shows," he proposes that they should have multiple concerts going on at the same time. That would be pretty funny: there would be Daft Punk shows all over the world, and you have to guess which is the real one :>

This is a good interview! You could tell the interviewer was trying to challenge the band on several aspects of their live show, something they probably never got too much off amidst all the "OMG IT'S AWESOME" responses.
Thanks for posting! :)

Yeah, they don't tell us who says what. Both of them were there, but Thomas probably did most of the talking as usual, you can tell by the rambling, paragraph-length answers :D Although the response about it being hot in the helmets, that's got to be Guy-Man: very short and to the point, and he's said in other interviews that Thomas had some kind of cooling device in his helmet while he did not.
