OK, so I've gathered that you people want a more comprehensive links page! Well... I've decided to give you just that! But I need your help... I need some links :D I'm looking for videos, reviews and general stuff on Daft Punk.

I will make it clear at this point, we will not link to any pages that allow illegal downloads of any Daft Punk content. Streaming video will be allowed, but not audio - let's keep it fair to the Robot masters eh!

So let the links pour in!! Please try not to submit duplicate links. And also, please state clearly what each link is next to your submissions, for example if it's a show be as detailed as possible, including dates and specific location... That is all :)

Oh yea I found this video six months ago, it's the entire Coachella set with excellent audio, made by combining all the user submitted videos of the show with the bootleged audio. I can bet that this is the best video of the set ever, thanks goes to the guy who made it.

hey sorry guys, i don't know why i haven't seen this thread with the french video yet, but I just checked it out. there's not much to learn from it, but i'll translate it for you all very soon.

Interviewer: Since a few weeks ago in obscure theatres, daft punk fans can watch Interstella 5555 a animated film that last one hour and fifteen minutes, which has as a soundtrack the duo's seconod album Discovery. We wanted to know more about this concept that included "one more time".

Thomas Bangalter: After "Homework" our first album, we didn't want to go through the same procedure of making an album based of the club scene, and dance music, so we really wanted to work in a different manner. We looked for a motivation to make a second album, we had a few songs recorded already and we discovered that we were very interested to try to make something with a narrative structure, to tell a story. We started writing the story, the three of us, with Guy-Manuel and Cedric and at the same time we wrote the music. The story that we had started writing and the music we were making, we realized that we were feeling the sensations of our childhood such as the Bugles, Video killed the Radio Star, or Supertramp, AC/DC, things that were very strong influences. The story we were writing was kind of like us playing with dolls, very infantile without thinking too much. It's true that the animation seemed like an adequate medium to tell this story.

Just a small remark i'd like to add, I suggest we remove the link to the entire Interstella 5555 movie, people and fans who want to see it should go buy the available DVD being sold or go look for it somewhere else, thedaftclub shouldn't promote piracy, as for those who ask why shouldn't we also remove the coachella vids, the answer is simply because there are no other means of watching it but bootleged. What do you guys think?

but i agree with your sentiments. perhaps we should have links to purchase the various Daft merch? or is that already up and i've just forgotten about it?

I suggest we keep the first four singles of the album (Discovery) up and remove the rest, even the youtube links to the other Discovery tracks, because it's like having links for the entire movie but in parts. And yeah I guess links to DP merch. would be a good idea, but they'll have to be updated regularly.

Damn! Silly me! I totally agree with the no piracy approach.

My own personal policy is, if it is possible to buy something legally, and in a way that benefits the artist then I will do so, otherwise it's fair game. So persionally I do not have a problem with bootlegs, as they are not on general sale, however I will make every effort to own a legal copy of all the songs featured in the bootleg (wherever possible).

Anyway enough of that!

I will take down the entire Interstella Link and have a think about the rest of them, but I think up to HBFS will suffice as they were released as general music videos, and the others weren't.

With regards to product links it was actually next on my list of things to add to the site - I'm gonna develop the 'shop' area a bit to encorporate actually Daft Punk merch too!
