Ok, so you may have seen a recent post of mine regarding a Daft Punk remix I am working on... However I have a question for all the DJ's in 'the club'... How are remixes normally done. I am using the Technologic files Daft Punk supplied for their online competition, however I'm assuming that in normal cases artists do not supply all these core files for others to do the remix... so how is it normally done, by the professionals?

i guess if it's for an official remix that the label provides the remixer with all the samples, acappellas and stuff he may need...

ever heard of looping vocals? its like repeating set vocals over and over again, you hear it in remixes all the time, i suggest looking at tutourials they can give u a heads up on what to do.

Well I'm a DJ but not a very good one :(
for editing and such i use cool edit and fruity loops to remix stuff since i can cut out samples from cool edit and then add my own touch on fruity loops..i also tried using ableton once but it didnt work out very well for me :(
