[moved] Other band forums

We are looking into the possibility of opening up seperate forum sections for various other selected artists.

Each one would get their own forum under the 'Other Bands' section.

What do you think of the idea?

think its a good idea!!! adds a bit of variety to the site, and gives everyone a change to get their opinions in about other bands/gigs/etc in a dedicated space!

no, i don't think it is a good idea. a separate "other bands" forum, sure, but this site is about Daft Punk, so keep the focus on Daft Punk. individual threads for other artists is fine, but giving them their own forums i think is a little much. :/

When I look at the "other bands" forum, there are several threads about Justice. I may not like the group so much, but I can see that most members on this website do care about Justice, so I guess it's safe to say that they would get their own forum.

Besides, Daft Punk PWNZ and everything, but we don't get to hear frequent news about them. If the site expands, we'll have updates of both Daft Punk and other favorite bands on the site. Plus, if the site expands, more members will come =D

I think it's a Win-Win situation =D

Still, only a few select music groups would get their forum sections. In order to decide which groups, I think a poll is in order.

Well i actually consider is a great idea for some people to know more about a group that she or he didn't know before, and if that comes up, obviously daft punk still will be the main atraction,

But anyways i respect the opinion of ohter people so, a poll will be the best option.

i honestly think that it will probably more work than it's worth. there are many general music forums around, so making a sister site for tDC, will probably bee too much work.

i think the best option for us is to have one general "Other Bands" forum where people can talk about their artists in threads, and if they want to go to another site, let them join an already established one.

Oh, so Admin was thinking of making sister sites? :o Gee, I think that's a lot of work. I thought Admin was talking about separate band forums, where SebastiAn (an example) would have a separate forum below the "Other Bands" section, or something similar.

I think it would be better if there was sub forums for different genres of music rather than a particular artist/group.
