In Seattle, my girlfriend and I stayed at the same hotel as Guy, we met him on the same floor as us. He was pretty shocked that we knew who he was, he was wearing tight short shorts and a faded t-shirt holding a cup of water. We asked if we could get a picture but he said no because of his idendity. We talked about his shows and how he and Thomas inspired us alot. He was a pretty happy gent. I was crazy exicited to see the show the same night.

He was pretty shy when I met him... Thomas went over to him and basically put him right in front of me in Toronto. It was cool ass meeting him though... definitely the more obscure of the two...

Yeah for sure, I didn't have a pen or paper, I didn't want to hold him up either. We were going to wait for him at the elevator on our floor after the show. But what kind of weirdo's would we be? Got to give them alot of respect. We were staying at the Silver Cloud Stadium Hotel.

Thank you for sharing this lovely fan story. GuyMan in short shorts certainly stirs up the imagination! He may be shy and reclusive around people but you'd never guess that from his choice of clothing in official photos. Remember the bright-red double-breasted coat with matching slippers he wore during the Discovery era interviews? You know the old saying, it's always the quiet ones that are the wildest...LOL.

I hope I will get a chance to meet him someday too.

Oh for sure, still now I can't believe we met him. We talked to him for about 10 minutes. About his previous shows and howcome I wasn't going to his Montreal show. Still dazed I managed to make his English pretty good. I heard he was crabby to another fan. But not to us, he looked like he was stoked for sure. Laughing and smiling.

I also want to know if Guyman has moved to California now that Thomas and his family live there now. I don't think those two can stay separated from each other for too long. It's wonderful to see such a rare bond between friends.

But, really, what's with all the superficiality? Thomas has been going bald for at least 5 years now, and Guy-Man's weight has yo-yo'ed a bit. I'm only 28 and my hair is already thinning and going gray, and I guarantee the same thing's going to happen to the majority of you guys in time. Nothing to worry about, it's just part of getting older.

Yeah, I agree, I was just pointing out that the "fat" comment was referring to Guy-Man. The Thomas comment was probably referring to Thomas' facial hair and balding - two things I don't have a problem with, but I think that's what he was referring to.
