1. Will they or won't they come to Australia, and if so, when and what city?

This is the big one people… We’ve literally been hanging on the line for years, with the tantalizing possibility of those loveable French robots Daft Punk bringing their spectacular live show to Australia. The mystique that has grown around the group is really quite incredible: we’ve salivated over the YouTube clips, torn our hair out in frustration over those fruitless rumours and debated it endlessly on the forums. Now ITM can confirm the recent talk is true! Here are the facts…

Brought to you by Michael Coppel and Modular, and presented by inthemix, the ‘Never Ever Land’ tour will see the pyramid spectacular landing in Australia for four massive shows this December, with a world-class roster of supports to back up the robot rockers. In addition to the almighty presence of Daft Punk, we’ll also be enjoying sets from a number of acts on the Modular roster. Indie-electro rockers The Presets will be playing one of their last shows before they disappear to record their second album, while rising star Muscles will be clocking in, as will the ubiquitous Bang Gang DJ posse, also warming up the crowds.

As if that wasn’t enough, we’ll have a second international guest in the form of fellow French dance duo SebastiAn & Kavinsky. One of the current stable of French producers on the Ed Banger label, dominating dancefloors around the world, they come from a musical heritage that is inextricably linked to massive legacy left by Daft Punk, so their presence on the bill is appropriate indeed. How’s that for a massive lineup?

This year could be the first time i have been to Melbourne, but not the first that i've been to Brisbane! If i can afford it all, i'm going to the Melbourne, Brissy and Sydney show.

Hahahaha thats epic. just make sure its not 18+ I honestly think Brisbane and Melbourne would be the best shows. Melbourne because it's big on music and the scene's different down there, and Brisbane because of the weather and the fact that its on the river. Christmas really did come early this year.

You cant really get bored in Australia even if you were by yourself. Sydney is quite a nice place if you visit the right spots. Its got a great CBD.. its just big.

I have a feeling it would be 18+... every other type of festival of this nature I have been to here in Brisbane has been that way. Im not trying to bring you down, spurway.. it would just suck to get your hopes up and then find out later you couldn't go. I suggest waiting and checking out the "new" info that comes out today, or within the next week.

It's at one arena venue, with a ton of support acts. This is not a festival - like Parklife. Parklife is spread over everywhere and has many MAIN acts - and it's 18+
I'm an optimist. Besides I can pass for 18 easily methinks:D

The Sydney show is like a mini festival as the doors open at 2pm and goes till about 11-12 at night. It's going to be one epic day/night.

That can't be right. Because they aren't streching only six acts to twelve hours. No act besides Daft Punk has beyond 90 minutes work of material. It will only finish maybe around 9pm. How do you know they are 18+?
And the organisers never treat Sydney Showground as a festival if only one venue is used.

Dude, there is still more bands to be announced for this. The Rapture will most likely be doing it, as well as Van She. Check the Ticketmaster site, i think it says somewhere on it that the show you click says it's 18+. Plus it also says that the show begins at 2pm.

For those of you who are concerned over the age restirictions, Like I am, then worry no more.
Legally, any ticket website has to provide an age restriction notice, if there is one.
Under ticketmaster.com.au, the MELBOURNE show is ONLY 18+ (i mean that's not excellent - i'm sorry to you melbournians).
That show is the ONLY one which says it's 18+ the other three have no notice whatsoever.
I am 95% sure that it will stay that way. The only reason the Myer Music Bowl is 18+ is... well I dunno why. Fatboy Slim played there in 2006 and it was 18+. Maybe it's what they are required to have

Daft Punk updated the website on the 30th and have not been on since. nevereverland.com.au was the 29th and is an IMAGE and has not been updated. Ticketmaster is always always updating to make sure the info is correct. Langley Park is the final location. They must have needed approval first.

See my little friend... I told you not to get your hopes too high. But its good to see you be so persistive. I'll be honest with you, I hate partying around kids. Its not cool. But if someone is passionate about something they love, they should in no way be denied the right to experience that. I believe that its for your own protection (alcohol and drug abuse will run rampant at this event), but thats due to a few bad seeds. I honestly wouldn't suggest trying to get in with a shoddy fake i.d... firstly I don't know where you got the 51,000 figure from... but even if that was the case, THEY DO CHECK EVERY PERSON. I majored in event management at uni, and if they don't do proper checks, the security company and or event organisers will be held liable for anything that goes wrong to a minor on the premises..

SOOOOOooooo if you do in fact go for a fake i.d, make sure you do it properly, and take TWO forms of i.d so they don't get suspicious... you get caught, you get fined.

Like I said man, I personally don't like partying with young kids, but thats me, not the rest of Australia. And I also said you shouldn't be denied the right to see them. And its good to see that your staying off the booze and drugs - they both seem to be breeding some scum into Australia's night life (although I do drink a fair bit which is a bit hypocritical).

Plus if it makes you feel better, I think they should have made it 21+ hahahaha. The only reason im really against the young crowd (when you get older you'll know what im talking about), is the fact a lot of them are just tag alongs and do it for the image. There's no denying it, daft have become a lot bigger since their live sets got noticed.. and a lot of people who didn't know them before are just following the hype..

But, like I said my friend..the best of luck to you. You seem to be genuinly really into the group (obviously). You remind me of when I was 15 and was the worlds biggest Korn fan... And I still stick by them to this day. And I got to their concert... so far one of the best experiences of my life.

I want all dp lovers to be able to experience this religious experience :) i do not condone the use of fake IDs but if you have to find someone that works for your local driver's license place, like the American DMV , that deals in that sort of thing. The magnetic strip on the american ones would make the fake authentic so it would be legit. I do not know how the australian ones work but that might be an idea. OR just borrow an ID of someone that looks like u :) best of luck

Thats just the way things are here man... trying to keep the kids safe. I do agree with the age restriction at particular events... However! When I went to the Korn concert in 2004 which was much bigger (about 8,000 people) I would definately not have let my underage kid there... but it would make more sense to let my kid into DP... but in saying that, I dont think there was anyone at Korn on pills (to say the least), where as daft theres gonna be a whoooolllleee lot of drugs.

Sometimes we just get dealt the wrong cards.

Okay, firstly the crowd capacity I keep referring to is Brisbane, not Sydney. Secondly, they probably will not open the grounds for the 51,000 capacity.. I keep going back to this korn concert, but the place was sold out... but wasn't completely open. Thirdly, at any one of these given events THEY WILL BE CHECKING EVERY ID.

If you wanna try get in contact with Busy P, why not try parklife this month? I highly doubt you'll be able to meet or speak to him... but in your case anything is worth a try.

And finally, if they were going to make it 15 and above, they may as well have it all ages.. its not the content of the music thats making it 18+ buddy...

around the 3:00 mark it seems like the right (the spot ones, angled along with the pyramid) track lights seem to not work as well as the rest then seem to not work at all at a point. i dunno, its a 50/50 thing really. its just weird that one row would work less as much as the other.

It's better to buy it before because the line is longer after the show. I bought 3 shirts before the show and 1 more after. They run out of the popular sizes if u buy them after. The blue Daft Punk shirt and Alive shirt only came in men sizes, so I got the Alive shirt in small, but I got the blue Daft Punk in medium because they ran out of small.

I brought a bag to carry them. I'm glad it was big enough.

Because men's T-shirts are pretty much standard, but those babydoll T's are cut differently. To accentuate your child bearing hips or something, I dunno I'm not a girl.

I totally did mate, the sucky thing was that the perth crowd weren't major daft fans...i was probably the only person in my area that was singing all the lyrics etc etc

however the best moment was when the encore came on and the reaction on the dude's face next to me was priceless...open mouthed awwwe twas the craziest thing he had ever seen in his life ahhaha

but yeah their helmets are so shiny!!
