I'm feeling better today, I realized that I'm probably just over-reacting. I left a present in Sarah's mailbox so hopefully she gets it [it's a real present, it's not like I took a dump in her mailbox or something lol]. I got her some socks with crazy designs on them, because she really likes that. I also gave her a singing Hannah Montana card and I wrote in it some stuff about thanks for being a great friend. Hopefully this will put her in a position that if she IS blowing me off, she'll feel like utter ****; and if she's not blowing me off then she'll probably love me for it.

Um, it actually depends, allergy tests can't be generalized, because there's more than one. I had to take a test once where they made a painless injection on my arm and didn't cover it up, all they did was disinfect it and circle the spot with a pen and they told me to come back the next day, when I did come back, the doctor looked at it and said that I passed the test. Its purpose was to test whether my blood had an allergic reaction to certain substances when inhaled, and if the spot of injection had inflamed, it would mean I was allergic to them.

huh... don't really understand why that other thread was locked... i can unlock it if people want to talk about this subject further.

but yeah, there are lots of different allergy tests, i think.

the one time i can remember having one was something similar to yours, aria, but mine was slightly different. it was when i was in like elementary school so i'm not sure i really remember everything, but from what i remember, it's basically like there were a ton of these little wrench-shaped picks which were stuck shallowly all over my back. had to wait for a while to see if there were any reactions, and i remember that being soooo bad. like i could barely stand it, because they were all itchy (just from being there, not that i necessarily had a reaction to most of them), but you can't scratch them, so it's pretty just like askghaig!!! D:

i only have minor allergies to a few things, so not a big deal...

the test Aero's describing sounds more like what i had to do for meningitis vaccine or whatever it was.

Wait a second, I thought boxing day wasn't celebrated in the US, am I wrong? I'm not even sure what day of the year it's supposed to be at, I've become curious.

And about those allergy tests mentioned by Aria and Piro, whoa! That must've hurt, or atleast been extremely intolerable D:

I either haven't had those tests or can't remember, but I'm pretty sure it's the latter, I was pretty fragile as a little kid, being 2 months pre-mature at birth and all, but yeah, whatever.

And about the allergy test I took, I doubt it was related to meningitis, because those are only given via injections to the forehead (right?), and my injection was on the arm. I'll look it up and see if I can find out my test's terminology. I believe that the most freak-ish injection you can get are those related to getting an IV, it's so freaky looking at it and thinking "This thing is right inside my vein..... DX", and you like, sleep with the IV feeling all weird and stuff. I haven't mentioned this before, but I was admitted to the hospital for one day about a month ago, suffered from severe vomiting and the "D" word that I think is kinda inappropriate to mention, but the word is related to an abnormal process in the digestive system, and that's all I'm saying (I get food poisoned often, sensitive stomach). They gave me an IV with electrolites or whatever they're called to stop the "D", and medicine via injections to the IV to stop the vomiting, thankfully it wasn't very serious, just a higher than average degree of food poisoning.

i'm not saying they were the same test, but the process was the same. meningitis affects the brain, yeah, but the injection site (when i had the test/vaccination/whatever it was) was on my forearm. it leaves a lump on the surface of your arm and you come back the next day to have it looked at.

haha yeah, that would probably be my favorite position too, if it wasnt for all the running.

thats why i was goalie when i used to play soccer =D. but i was young and naive and didnt realize that meant id actually have to block the balls when they would get chucked at me. so i ended up quitting.

i enjoyed it though when i did soccer in gym class a few weeks ago.

Nice. I like indoor soccer a bit better than outdoor (I play both, indoor during the winter and outdoor during spring and summer). It's much faster, and the boards help out a lot.

I have a fun story to tell you all, but I'm too lazy to type it all again so I'll copypasta the email I sent to my boss:

The incident started at about 2050 hrs.

I heard Ken, the manager of FYE, yelling at a customer. I heard him yell "put it back!" Then I heard the taller customer yell "you still owe me my change!" I did not see what happened next, but from what I understand the taller lady struck Ken first. Ken tried to grab her FYE bag to get the stolen property back. She hit him again and he grappled with her. While he was grappling he was yelling for me to do something. What he wanted me to do I'm not certain, as I'm not allowed to physically engage anyone. The altercation went on for several minutes, and I stood in front of the only exit. I did this as an attempt to try and deter them from leaving. However the other manager Colleen was saying something to me and I couldn't hear her. I walked over to hear what she had to say, and informed her that I wasn't allowed to physically engage them. The lady then spit on Ken and walked out of the store. Ken followed her out, still yelling at her. Her shorter friend yelled "Security you pussy you're not doing anything!" After they left, Ken walked over to me and say "Yeah you're a pussy. You're not doing anything, I don't know why I have you around. Get the **** out of my store and never come back!" I replied, "What did you want me to do? I'm not allowed to hit anyone." Ken said "They were ****ing stealing! Get out of my store now!" I walked behind the desk and called the AlliedBarton number to clock out, since he didn't want me there. As I was on hold waiting for an operator, Ken took a car CD case and threw it at me, hitting me in the arm. It didn't hurt, but I thought it was worth mentioning to show what kind of person he is. I finally contacted an operator and informed her that the manager had told me to leave. She clocked me out at 2057 hrs.

It's obvious to me that FYE wants something more from their Security Officers. They want one officer to be able to cover an entire store. They want an officer to break AlliedBarton's rules, and physically engage someone over stealing a twenty dollar CD. I apologize for the foul language in the above paragraph but it's what happened. He degraded me, relieved me of duty, and threw a CD case at me, just for doing my job. I understand that my job is to not to physically engage, it's only to secure and report. Obviously the managers of FYE do not understand this.

Well I don't normally work there. With AlliedBarton you work for THEM and they contract you out to different places. Normally I work at an office building on market street, but they needed me to fill in for the person who works at FYE. So it's not a huge deal that he "fired" me. I still work at Cushman and Wakefield :D

We tied our soccer game 0 - 0. I'm more pissed at our coach than anyone else; first, our golaie gets a penalty (he tripped some guy when he went out for a tackle) and who does the coach put in the penalty box? Me. Plus, that's the second time this season our goalie has received a penalty and I have been the one who our coach sends to the box. Then, during the last five minutes, I've been waiting for three shifts to go on when the coach calls a time-out. Then he tellse what we're doing and says that he's putting in two mids who have been on for two shifts already. So I got short-shifted, even though there's no such thing as "putting on our star players". Gah!

My cat almost died of a heart attack today and I was in Germany when it happened.. The vet said that my cat has a heart disease and fluid in his lungs which caused the heart attack... also, the next heart attack will kill him.

Last night passed so quickly, it doesnt even feel like im in 09 already.

My family and I went to some friends house for a little get together and dinner. We started eating it was almost 11PM. We were eating desert and they were announcing the countdown would start. So, we all got up, grabbed our raisins (the tradition here is to eat 12 raisins and make 12 wishes in the final 12 seconds of the year), but the countdown on TV started at 10, so i was like 5 or 6 raisins down by the 6th second, and then i just went "ah screw it" and gobbled them all up.
I also usually drink some champagne, but this yar i had to stick with coke. Then a little gift exchange and we stood watching a rugby movie up until 3am, when we went back home.

Apart from the champagne and the gifts, it was just a regular dinner party. And midnight came so quicky, i still havent realized this is 2009.

Hope you all had a better NYE, and bring on the 909 year!

NYE TV last night was utter crap, so was Christmas TV. We were watching BBC1, and I swear they were dying to bum**** the Olympians, every frigging minute they were talking about them or talking to them, it all seemed a bit rushed aswell, they were asking the Olympic peoples their New Year resolutions and all of a sudden they turned to Big Ben with 40 seconds to go. We couldn't have much of a party neither, my mum was working last night till 10PM, and working today from 7-2...

Like I said before, 2008 wasn't the best of years for me, school was borning me and I wasn't getting out much. But like Stacey, I met some really cool people, joined some forums and made some really cool friends. I think my best year was 2005/6, when I was in Year 7 at school, when I didn't have any exams to do and I had a couple of holidays that year.

The 2008 Holiday season was a bit of a let down for me this year.... We finished school a bit later (the 19th) than usual and I had a crap lesson to finish off, then on the day before Xmas Eve I got a sickness bug which made me ill all day Xmas Eve, luckily I was OK Xmas Day, but I still haven't been right since. And then the day before NYE, I got a really bad migrane (which I still haven't got rid of yet) so, hopefully next holiday season I won't be ill, I swear...

And I'm getting all my Happy New Year text messages now, at 1:18PM >_>

I whipped this up in Garry's Mod then put the font in with Photoshop. I love how it came out. <3 Inspired by the scene in Half-Life 2: Episode 2 when Gordon brings Alyx back from near death and a comment one of the Vortigaunts makes on the bond between Alyx and Gordon during the process. Thought of the day: Be good to your and everybody else's sanity by limiting time spent on the internet, and inane posts anywhere but this rather exclusive thread of wonderful randomness.

And yes, Matt Smith does look pretty weird as the new Doctor; can't say I actually ever watched the thing properly but even so I could tell Tennant was the bee's knees.
