I am getting a ridiculous amount of homework now, ever since school started again. Tonight for instance.
I had to write a paper about a 'defining moment' in each school grade from 1-12. Which is stupid for 2 reasons: 1) I'm only in 11th grade and 2) I barely have one defining moment. Mostly because my life so far has been pretty easy, and I haven't had to overcome anything too difficult, which I am thankful for... but an easy life sure does make boring writing. xD
...that's on top of physics and stats homework.
...and I have four essays due on Friday from left-over summer assignments. Which I wasn't informed of until yesterday. Silly summer assignments.

You know what sucks, when you change schools and the people at your old school don't want to know you anymore. I moved school when I was getting into High School. If I see people from my old school at a school function or down the street, they literally put their hands over their faces so I won't notice them O___O.

regarding all this talk about rl nostalgia (as opposed to pop cultural type, which is more common. amiriteamirite, evil? :P) it's something i've been thinking about recently, 'cause i'm doing a big thesis project on different places which have been important to me over the years. (old houses, other places i've visited when i was little, and more recent places as well.)

even without "researching" for this project, i've revisited old houses all through my life. mostly 'cause i've lived in something like nine different houses in three different states. lol. the house i lived in before the one i currently live is even in the same neighborhood! i've also been around most of my old schools fairly frequently 'cause my brothers have followed me, so i've ended up going back every two years or so. lol

i totally agree with being weirded out at how small things are in schools. since i'm studying to be a teacher, i have to go to schools and watch classes, and it's kind of amusing when you go to elementary (primary) schools and the chairs and desks are so tiny, and sitting in them anyway! lol

so basically... i just typed up a big ranty post about moving in. (moving in was fine. internet isn't.)

the good part of moving in was that i got my bed (with lots of help) against this small wall. gives me a lot more space. but i also made a couple dents in the wall, scraped paint off some doors, and completely obliterated an electrical outlet faceplate. (and a bit of the outlet itself...) oops.

the huge minus is the ****ty internet policy the school's now adopted. makes you agree to a bunch of stuff, some reasonable, others insane.

basically usual blah, blah don't get viruses, keep your system updated, don't share files. bu~ut what sucks the most is that they *make* you download a monitoring... program thing to make sure you comply. and if you don't download/install it, no internet.

also, 1GB/week bandwidth limit? w. t. f. complete bull.

(i'm also not supposed to set up a router, but that hasn't stopped me in the past. maybe if the university was actually wireless like it's been promising for years, it wouldn't make a difference. but truthfully, i don't trust it...)

As for that program, pretty sure that there is an option where you can disable it.
My old school had a monitoring system like that in their library computers and i'd just right click the icon on the task bar and select "Disable monitoring".
Then i could go to just about anywhere without being watched.

Yup, she cried. She explained that it was not because of the crowd but because of her back. She fell the day before her show and hurt her back. But she got some kind of injection to ease the pain but I guess that didn't help much.

I just had my first DP dream, haha! Do you dream a lot about them?

Well, when I was on a holiday in Austria last week, I dreamed about me and a group of other people meeting Guy-man (maybe it were people from the Daft Club =P). He was unmasked and his hair was short and grey! I was like 'wtf happened with his hair?!' He answered some of our questions and everyone got a DP poster. :love:

you've never been in a plane before, mel? hmm. i don't know why, that's just always been something i could never imagine with a lot of people. hopefully skydiving was fun. *aria smiles politely in attempts to hide her burning jealousy*



so anyways. my dad just bought a house today in maryland. so i had to go down there with him to sign papers and stuff. i ended up sitting in the house for FOUR STRAIGHT HOURS with absolutely nothing to do when i hadn't eaten since breakfast and it was late afternoon. it was TORTURE I TELL YA. i was practically pulling my hair out there and they're not even talking about the house, just random things that have no relation to it whatsoever.

we were supposed to go visit the boat he has in the marina in that town and then go swimming but noooo it got too late and started to thunderstorm so all we could do is go to dinner and go straight home. we stopped in this little ice cream shop thats sort of famous in the town and just found out that its being SOLD. that thing has been there since 1857, people. original wood floors, barstools, ceiling, everything.

and to make it worse, my grandfather sold HIS house last week, which has basically been the center of my dad's side of the family forever. he didnt even tell me and i never got to say goodbye.

meh. i dont know if this is a happy time for me or not. there are a lot of issues. a lot of my family members are very sick as well...

and i'm still trying to cope with my annual summer depression.

i didn't throw it. but your drawing looks so kickass! :D mine is alot smaller and has lotsa detail but i don't think it'd be worth the time to take the pic. it's too small. i had time for detail though, because it's so hard to pay attention to the english teacher so i just draw to stay awake.

nice drawing though. really cool. i like how you drew the alive pyramid. my pic is a drawing of them looking at eachother, and they look like they did in electroma. but for some reasong Bangalter's helmet says "HUMAN" (product of more time and boredom). i totally wish i went to Alive 2007. :( i've never seen them live.
