Judges suck, it's all about the costumes and props. Not the dancing. which is a shame. I do Rock Eisteddford too, but I do Premier division. We only get as far as the state final :(

i went to visit dickinson college today as a possible college choice. and while we were there we were talking to a panel of students and teachers about their experience at the college. one of the guys there i SWEAR looked like a mid-90's version of guy. hair, face shape, eyes, smile, everything. i was so tempted to go up there and ask him if he has ever heard of daft punk.

i don't have a vinyl player or any records, so it kinda puts me out of it, but yeah it does seem like a cool idea.

though i'd have to say, speaking admin-ly, it would kind of be an at-your-own-risk sort of thing. obviously don't get pissed off at tdc if the person you're swapping with doesn't go through with it. so you might want to think of some sort of regulations or ways to make sure that people will use the system fairly and stuff.

uh... not exactly... but i'm also not sure what you mean. a silkscreen of a photograph (where you just use half-tones to get the values and stuff?) or are you talking about some other specific process? i have used some half-tones before, albeit, not really in the way that i'd be getting a photorealistic image.

(i found out recently there is such a thing as oil-based screen ink, but apparently dealing with that and cleaning up is wicked.) i've only just started, so i don't really know any brands, if that's what you're asking. i mean you can even use regular acrylic paint, just water it down a bit. as for brands, the only thing i can throw out there is Speedball because they're pretty ubiquitous as a printmaking ink brand, and i believe there was some other brand mentioned in my syllabus, but i forget it atm... just, whatever you do, don't let the ink dry in the screen. 'cause then you're screwed. always flood stroke!

ohhh! yes i do use the photo emulsion. :3 how exactly do you mean you're going to get the screens done professionally? putting the emulsion on and exposing them isn't very hard to do, but i guess the only issue would be the expense of the emulsion, and other equipment associated with exposing. (but you can expose your screens without much equipment, just using sunlight as well.)

but yeah, acrylic is definitely the standard i think. acrylic is enough of a pain to clean up, i'd hate to see what oil's like! D:

And that's true. Thank god they don't know who I am. But I really hope Kavinksy doesn't recognize my drawing style because I drew those two other drawings of him, which I uploaded on facebook and he saw them too. Also, I've tweeted many times to A-Trak and he has replied to me 3 times before this, so I think he knew that it was that beeans who drew this.
