i'm not totally sure. i know that there are limits to your reppin' abilities. mods/admin have unlimited rep (we've got so much re~epp to give~ so much re~epp to give~ lol), though.

i think that you guys can be limited by not being able to repeatedly give one person rep--you have to spread it around. i think it might also be possible that you only have so much rep you can give. like you can give rep up to a point, but you can run out if no one has given you rep in a while?

not totally sure on the last part, but i'm pretty sure the first part is true.

there's also the thing about levels. like when you get rep from someone with a lot of rep, it gives you more rep points, than if you got rep from a n00b. kinda sucks, but i've been given rep from people that didn't have any so it didn't contribute to my rep level at all, though it was still cool that people liked whatever i posted.

okay, so i've been looking around at colleges all year pretty much, and i'm dead set on two universities that i really really want to go to- one a bit more than the other, but i wouldnt really care either way.

so i took the SATs twice right? and i just got back my scores a few weeks ago. and i got a pretty good score, relative to most people, but when i looked at the scores from the incoming student class profiles for both of the colleges, i realized that the one i wanted to go to more than the other needed a higher score in math than what i had. its also super expensive, so my parents said the only way i'd be able to go is if i get financial aid. well i realized then that i wouldnt even be accepted because my scores are too low. and i got super upset.

i just got back my scores from the ACT test that i just took, and those were pretty good too, and when i looked at the college's scores for this test as well, i realized that not only did my score fall in the average range, but it was on the HIGH side. this means, that because the college WILL take only the ACT if i sent it to them, i can get in!!!!!! there's still hope! now i just need money, haha.

My guess would most likely be that you subconsciously have a fear of growing older and getting closer into going into the real world (If you havent begun already that is. I have no idea how old you will be so this is just stuff coming off the top of my head) or perhaps its a fear of dying sooner? who knows. Personally i love getting a little bit older. It means I'm slowly getting more mature as time progresses. Unfortunately, it means i'll be going to college sooner as well.

To be honest, I kind of know how you feel, but in a different way. Whenever people say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" to me, I just wonder what the point is behind celebrating a birthday. Doesn't "Happy Birthday" technically mean "Yay, you lived another year, good job, hope you don't die anytime soon"?

i feel sorry for people up norf. suddenly it's hotter there than it is here. which is not to say it hasn't been hot. but it's been normal hot-ish here, mid- to upper-90s and getting into 100-ish (35-37 C). seems like it's much worse in like DC and NYC.

shockingly i've been able to be fine in my apartment with no A/C and only fans going sometimes. maybe 'cause i'm not on the side of the building that gets sunlight for most of the day.

Yeah, the weather's being really screwing with us cold-weather people. It's been rainy all summer, and we literally had the heater on this Monday. Now it's 80+ degrees, which is....unbearable for many of us who live in sweaters all year. Ugh, I hate humanity for screwing up this planet. XD

i was pretty much like that the entire month of june, dude, and man it sucks. i think the only thing that kind of kept me busy is.. just stuff. pick out two or three books you think you might want to read, keep on hand some video games, start a big project.. and if you get tired of one, just switch to the other. the key is to distract yourself as much as possible i think, so you wont have to realize you're depressed.

After learning about what's really going on in this world last year in class, this year in school I just lost hope in making peace. I literally started having dreams about the end of the world, not from stupid theories, but from nuclear world war and all. Not to mention the climate change that I learned about in science this year...
So when I listen to happy music on the radio, it gets me going for a while until I remember about all the horrors around the world. I just feel guilty about feeling happy for something when I know there's someone out there suffering. I know this happens all the time, but I just can't seem to get used to it now because we, as the more "fortunate" ones, have the ability to stop this suffering...but we don't. I guess that's why I've been sticking to Daft Punk lately, because I feel so many different emotions while listening to them and it makes me forget about all the negative things....temporarily.
I've basically convinced myself that the end of the world is soon and everything I'm doing right now is for nothing. And even when I tell people this, they just say "Hey, get a job that will help others that are suffering", but do we have enough time? Does't feel like it. *sigh*

Hmmm... I've had my fair share of depression when I was younger and hit some lows, but now I kinda don't get it. I mean today I've been a little low, without really knowing why, just sometimes people annoy me is all, sometimes you need time by yourself and I think people forget that, I makes sure I have time to myself at some point in the week, even if it's just a few hours.

Theres a lot of thigns I've done in my life that were 'bad' or 'wrong' but to me they weren't because they were a learning process, I've learned from all my past mistakes and gained from them. I don't regret things, well I only have one regret, but I wont bore you with that.

no one person can save the planet. you're here for yourself, so you should be living the best life you can thats right for you, now. if you really want to help others, attitude goes a long way. make yourself feel good, and you'll make others feel good, too. good moods are contagious, and if you make others feel good about themselves and their abilities, it might just lead to something. so smile, because even if the world does end, you've at least been alive to see it while it was still beautiful. and yes, the world is beautiful. without destruction and ugliness, we dont know what beauty is.

and about depression, I think it's important to know that feeling depressed (especially as a teenage) is completely normal and ok. Take that emotion and fear and turn it into something good. It's when you try to numb or hide the bad feelings that you need to be worried. If you can learn to deal with bad feelings at a young age, you will spare yourself a lot of pain and misery when you get older. :love:

I noticed I'm on the same side of the Earth as you as well...I couldn't sleep 'til 3 because of the heat, and using the computer would've made the room even more hotter....

just got back from seeing Datsik at Harbourfront. It was the sickest show. sweat, dirt, filth, intense moshing (i got elbowed in the head a few times and pushed into a pile of beer), and the most heart thumping, jizz producing bass known to man.

best. night. ever.
