I'm mostly interested in social anthropology with a historical focus- I'm more interested in the culture rather than physicality of a human group. My main interests are strange and varied- crime and punishment, class structures, funerary customs, and fashion (!)

Everybody asks me if I am going to become a teacher lol, but I'd rather do something with a museum or consulting for television and movies (If i go into the historic fashion stream) and whatnot.

Lol last night was awesome. God it was so awkward, Kaitlyn bought ANOTHER one of her **** buddies with her. He's equally as awkward, but a lot more ugly. I told him not to dick Kate over, and to remember I kill people for a living. I also high fived him 8 times for losing his virginity in a threesome lol. All in all, really really awkward, cause he's had sex with two girls I had sex [and like a lot]. But it was pretty fun. Music gets me through most days as I can chill to DP or some other band that i feel like listening to as i've got over 22 gigs of music on my ipod. Thats about 3000+ songs at the moment.

Was attending college for Network administration & Security but have not been back to school in a couple years. I can build and fix computers as i've done that many times. My only competency with computer programing is DOS commands and HTML also enjoy photoshoping stuff. As I made graphics for this one web community a while back. Of course its dead and i don't want to violate any potential TOS with your forums.

NOW as for Daft Punk I want to make their helmets and its a technical challenge as i'm a novice at soldering know next to nothing about circutry other then being able to identify electrical components on a motherboard. To boot my only programing launguage i know is HTML, DOS and i've forgoten all my linux commands from college.

Not related to daft punk i was modding an Xbox360 into a PC tower case using a 450wat ATX power supply. Sadly the board was useless and i gave up. Already had everything planed and cut, drilled ect... ready for instalation.

Yeah the classic rap/hip-hop is the only things I can really stand. It actually makes sense and if you actually listen to them, you'd be amazed what these people have been through. The new rap/hiphop is quite annoying and unoriginal, but this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7WgWcI7xKSU) guy is amazing. Oh and tohis, the group was called mobb deep and the song was called shook ones part II.

I wouldn't say all new rap/hip-hop is crap, but yeah, MAINSTREAM rap prolly is (I don't listen to mainstream radio stations or such at all, so I wouldn't know any). The underground scene is active all around the world, so if you just look for them, you'll find some amazing young rappers out there. I can't really recommend any new English speaking rappers, though, as I'm into the 80's & 90's alternative rap/hip-hop and the Finnish scene.

But cool to know there are rap/hip-hop lovers on TDC, too!

I went to Tower Records in Shibuya, which is I think at least 7 stories high, and I found a Daft Punk selection that was....quite a bit larger than ones than I see in America. They had every single album that Daft Punk has ever released basically, but I picked up ones that were on sale....which were their 3 studio albums and Alive 2007. It was an AMAZING deal, because each album was 1500 yen, which would range from about $13 to $17 (not totally accurate, but close enough) and they were all 10% off, which meant even more discount!
I was all hyped because in America, I rarely ever even find a Daft Punk selection in local CD shops...D:

I did take a picture of the selection, which I'll post later once I'm done unpacking. :D

Well overall, I'm glad I made it safely back home and now I'm back on the internet with my lovely DP Family. :)

are you talking about junior year? either way, just try not to stress yourself out too much. approach each obstacle and assignment you do with a calm head, and if you begin to risk your health trying to get an assignment done, just dont. if you calmly and maturely tell your teacher (like if you start having a nervous breakdown or youre so sleep deprived you're delirious) they might give you an extension.

another trick i learned is that when you find you're having a hard time going through with one assignment, start on another one. you're procrastinating and stalling, but still being productive by switching tasks and still getting the work you need to get finished done.

nah i don't think it has to do with texting. i always text with one hand. my phone is kind of similar shape i guess, but much smaller (it's a Juke if you know that design?), but i also texted with one hand when i used my other phone as well which was kind of standard-flip design.

Macs are legit better with displaying color in a more true way is what i've heard. never heard anything about rendering, usually when it comes to power, PCs are actually better, so i'd kind of be surprised if they were awesome at rendering. then again if you're in a big studio with like G4s, it's not all that surprising that they can render well...

Ok, let me put it this way. I study Illustration and photography at university. Personally I don't use any software, I like to do things by hand, but our digital art art is kitted out with Macs AND PC's. They both do the same thing. Whatever someone does on a Mac, they can just as easily do on a PC. I'm not saying your friend is wrong, I'm not saying you're wrong, and I'm not saying I'm right. Finally finished my art project! I thought I'd never ever finish it. Ever. But I did and I hate it. I want to burn it.

Teachers are stupid. I wanted to glaze my little pot for it. I was asking for 2 weeks. Didn't even fire it at all. until 2 days ago. So I couldn't glaze it and now it looks ****.

I think I should have a celebratory drink for this shiz.

you can paint it with acrylics! that can still give a nice finish. i've worked with a professional ceramic artist, and she takes that approach, rather than using glazes. if you want the shine, you can also coat it in polyurethane. (spray coat of poly will give it a more even coat than brushing it on.)

or you can glaze it anyway if you have access to glaze/a kiln. the first firing is just a bisque fire, the second fire is when you should apply glaze(s).

Ok than, i went to brussels where he works, there where two studio's where he worked as a student and in both studios they only had mac computers, there has to be a reason for that.

I work at a games developer. Only one of the artists has a Mac. (And he's a concept artist, so he only paints "normal paintings", as opposed to 3D stuff, rendering, etc.) As far as I know, most graphic designers use Macs because they have more relevant programs or such -- and many graphic designers and other people use Macs simply because apparently they're oh so much cooler then. Take that afore-mentioned concept artist for example: he's so in love with Apple that he can't imagine working with a PC.

Okay, this is off topic, but I went to a baseball game today. I'm not a huge fan of the games but it was still pretty fun.
They played One More Time and there were quite a bit of people dancing around, and of course I was going nuts. They obviously didn't play the entire song, but in my section there were a couple people going "Hey, I know this song!", and dancing. It made me happy. :D

But...earlier in the game there was something that really annoyed me....which I'll post in the "Pissed Off" thread because it might get too long. If you're interested in what made me hate people in general for an hour, you can read it there. Haha.

Today I was at Fan Expo in Toronto and met Bruce Boxleitner at the Tron panel... I was dressed in a very girly forest-print skirt with my tron shirt and he told me to not get eaten by any big bad wolves. Sound advice, Tron. Sound advice :'3. He also told us he'd cool up all dinner if we went to see Tron 4 times in the first weekend.

Later I met two people dressed as Daft Punk with nearly perfect outfits. Who would have thought a couple of Toronto fans would pull off awesome HAA suits?

its kind of a big deal, i moved in with my brother a couple years ago when i got kicked outta my last place for my drug use. i was only supposed to stay a couple of weeks and it turned into 2 years. i've been reluctant and scared to move out, my family is safe and take care of me, now its time to grow up and take care of myself. eeek!

so this is a big step. next i need to find a better job and start exercising again. except there are roaches in the kitchen. NASTY. but my rent is so cheap i can't really complain.....

and i have the best friends. like 4 people just showed up to help with their cars and made it so easy. i feel so lucky right now :)
