my area is supposed to be suburban (and it is, to an extent) but its gotten SOOO crowded over the past few years that a traffic jam twice a day is inevitable.

its crazy really. like, if you look up my area on google earth (sorry not telling you where it is) youll see 2 major major (like 6 lane roads) near my houses and 2 interstate highways.

one of my houses is literally 2 minutes from the mall and it takes about 15 minutes with traffic to get there, its that backed up.

so my neighborhood is very LOUD in the mornings.

I live in a neighbourhood which was built around 8 years ago, it's like 15 mins on a bus into the center and it's fairly quiet up here, you can see into the city next to us. ANd we NEVER get traffic jams near my house

so getting on a new subject, i think my mom has really bad luck with airplanes. she left to go visit my aunt and grandmother in florida a week ago and she missed her flight. so she had to wait 6 hours to get another one.
now today, the day she flies home, her airplane needs a repair. but they have to ship the parts in from miami. and they cant work on the plane until the storm passes. so its been 4 hours and she still hasnt boarded the plane, but the flight that was supposed to be 2 hours later than hers already left.

Speaking of flights, I just came back home via a 4-hour flight (3 hours and 30-40 minutes to be exact), it was ok, until like half way through when sudden strong turbulence hit it for 5 seconds and the seatbelt sign turned on (hate it when that happens), then I was anxious through the rest of the flight (semi fear of flying), god I hate flying....

Nah, Gulf Air are worse, trust me. There was a bug in the Salad that they served in my inflight meal, unfortunately, I noticed it only after I ate the salad.

Worst airlines for me have got to be United Airlines.
The planes are freakin' small, crappy, and our flights get delayed by AT LEAST an hour and a half. Longest was about three hours.

So now we fly with Frontier Airlines. :D

I was kinda like "WTF?" at first, then I started laughing (as in "are you kidding me?") and told the guy who was sitting next to me (eating a salad) about it, he kinda had the same reaction, and even warned the guys at the other side of the plane (who were also eating a salad) about it. The head stewardess came to pick up the tray, and I point at the bug and was like "You call this customer service?", he's all like "OMG I'm sorry sir, I'll report it", then he comes back to serve me my main dish, and he says "I've reported it, the blame is on the Athens Airport catering crew, not us", and I think to myself "Yeah, right".

I've flown with them atleast once a year (twice if you count going and coming) for the past 12 years or so, and almost every year, they damage my luguage, the most recent incident of this was with the going flight 12 days ago or so.

I love flying in airplanes, just because I love the feeling of being up really really high!
Most of my friends have a fear of heights, but I love heights!
One time a couple of my friends and I went to a local mall, and we were up two stories. We were all looking down, and I said, "Wouldn't it be scary and cool if the floor just collapsed right now?" and they looked at me and said "DON'T SAY THAT!!" and got really scared. I just laughed.
When I get the chance I'll do the same thing, just on like a roller coaster or something.

I just want to jump, and feel that feeling of potential energy. That feeling when you just hover over everything for about half a second. Then gravity thinks you are trying to get away, so it pulls you back down.
I love that potential energy feeling.
And when I'm on the Mamba [the roller coaster that goes up 200 feet and can "Reach speeds up to 75 MILES an HOUR!" [to quote from the announcer, man I can hear his voice right now.]] and my favourite part is when you're at the top of the first hill, which is the highest point in the ride, and you stop for about a second, and then the ride continues. The part when you stop at the top of the hill, I feel really awesome. I have this weird feeling. I can't really describe it. :/

One time I walked in front of a car, but my mom pulled me to safety. I was like, three, so I didn't know what the heck was going on.
Another time I was riding my bike, and I spaced out, and veered off course, and hit a thorn bush. It scraped my legs pretty bad, but then I looked behind the thorn bush and saw a bunch of concrete and a broken storm drain.
I then realized that if the thorn bush wasn't there I could've hurt my head. Badly.
I still have the scars.

So, while my mom, my brother and I were making the trip back home, i managed to sneak in my mix cd i made a few days ago, and played it in the middle of the trip. ohh, we had to do that last year too. only ours was a biathlon so it was one mile (16 laps around the upper deck of the pool-- very humid up there) then QUICK! sprint down, jump in the pool, and swim 36 laps. NOT FUN AT ALL! but i got a pretty good time- 20 something minutes for the whole things. its an A- but im not THAT athletic like that one kid who got 13 minutes OMG!

Speaking of Guitar Hero, I can't wait for Guitar Hero: World Tour, and I just noticed that Yakuza 2 will be released in the next 10 days, I thought the sequel would never see the light of day outside of Japan, glad it has, and for those who don't know, Yakuza is a game by Sega for the PS2, very similar to Shenmue, but not as epic, dunno about the sequel though, it may have improved the first game's faults, time will tell. And yeah, Resident Evil 5 FTW!

I made an introduction post. I don't know exactly why, but I guess it was just a good place to start at...?

Last night my aunt, uncle, grandma and grandpa came over to our house to celebrate my mom and I's birthdays, as well as Labor Day.
But all we really did was just play Rock Band for the 360. My mom and I mostly sung, my uncle played the drums, and my sister played the guitar.
All of us kept laughing so we failed a lot of songs. But we didn't care, it was just too fun!

I just got finished playing Super Mario Galaxy.
I SPENT AN HOUR TRYING TO DEFEAT BONEFIN GALAXY.

I gave up, just because the music got terribly annoying, and the freaking little bomb fishes kept chasing me.

Now I'm exhausted from the tension of attempting (but failing) to defeat a giant triceratops combined with a fish made out of bones and whose eyes are like headlights on a car.
The tension was intense. Now I'm not hungry anymore. :/

Raging Bull is the best ride at Six Flags Great America! Next to Batman, the original one. I haven't been there in years! For some reason I've gained terrible motion sickness with age. My stomach is finally weakening from too much junk food when I was a teen and can't handle anything now. :( Or maybe it's from drinking alcohol. Or I just have an ulcer. Or it's all three! The most wildest rollercoaster I've ever tried is Space Mountain at Disneyland Anaheim, I will never forget the experience, slowly slowly approaching the tunnel, not knowing what is coming up (I had no idea it was that wild), and when it started, dear god, it felt like all hell broke loose, it took us (me and my family) like 5 minutes to analyze the experience after the ride was over, felt like a shock, I remember mom telling us how she thought me and my bro were gonna fly off the thing during the ride, it terrified her D:

But this was almost 10 years ago, so yeah, it's just a lolz memory for us now.

I can help. Get rid of every br code in your profile(They'll be surrounded by <>'s). They'll keep appearing every time you update though. So Copy all your info to a word or notepad document and save it. Then everytime you wanna update, just update your Word/Notepad file and copy and paste it to your profile, just to keep the br codes out of it.

I always say life is hard because it makes you stronger. (kinda corny, but live with it.)
If life was easy, you wouldn't have to work hard for anything.
And when you work hard for something, and you accomplish it, you can say, "Hey, I worked hard for that. I'm awesome." Then you can feel better about yourself.

I'm an optimistic person, but I wasn't always like that. I've even thought about suicide a few years back.
But now I've changed, and never view life has cruel, harsh, hard, or negative.
And I always tell myself "It could be better, but it could be a LOT worse." and just enjoy the things you have in life right now. :D

oh i love all seasons cause they each have thier special qualities, but im more fond of fall. (cause the leaves and the weather is usually gorgeous and i can wear long sleeves or short sleeves any day if i want and cause my birthday is in september too along with my moms and a lot of my friends'.

yeah, i know what you mean about the first day and going back to school. as much as i dont want to, i guess im kinda happy to be going back cause at least now i have some structure to my life and something to look forward to when i wake up at 6 in the morning in the dark.

on the first day we usually do some stupid activity to get to know everyone (like walking around the room with a checklist and getting people's signatures for whoever has an older brother, whoever has been out of the country, whoever has a pet turtle... etc) and then we come home with a billion papers to sign.

i dont mind it, but i hate that the schedule is messed up on the first day. the 9th graders get to come in regular time to have an orientation and a general tour of the school, and then the rest of us come in 2 hours later and we have to go to third block first, then lunch, then 4th, then 2nd, then 1st. which means i have to walk all the way across the entire school (its huge) to get to my bus at the end of the day. ugh.

for anyone who is interested, ill post more about it in the 'first day of school' thread this afternoon.

right now im just really bored cause im waiting for my friend to pick me up so we can go.

Wow, a lot more people than I thought start school today...
I actually have school off today! YES! FOUR-DAY WEEKEND! :D

Counting this week, I started school three weeks ago. School has been pretty good, and we already have drama unfolding. Luckily I'm never a part of it. I just like to sit back and watch everyone be all "WAHHHHHHHH" about everything.

Crap, I have Geometry homework.

I get to take my learner's permit test soon...
I've been taking a boatload of practice tests and reading a DMV booklet.
I'm waiting till I get my braces off to take the permit, so if I pass, and when I get my picture taken, I can smile with my teeth, and they'll be natural and straight!

On the practice tests I'm getting at least a 70%, which is a good start, I guess.

well im getting (on the testy thing im doing tonight) on average about 90% on the theory and 54 / 75 (had to be 44+) on hazard perception so i think ill be ok =]

theres a gigantic spider hanging from the window at the foot of my stairs and it just killed a bee and is wrapping it with its web. its interesting to watch, but those poor spiders have to spend the entire day just to get their food! (the bee was alive this morning when i first saw it.)

I didn't sleep last night... I've been going to bed at 3:00- 4:00 in the morning all summer, so I went to bed at 11:00 last night cause I had to get up for school. I just laid around and eventually got bored and started walking around my house.

Sometimes I'd go to bed at 5 in the morning, right when the sun was coming up. Then I'd wake up and it would be around 11 AM to 1 PM.

i love sleeping....and not just sleeping in...just sleeping in general.....it's amazing.....and completely not healthy for me to be sleeping this much XD
