i was in an argument in my spanish class today about who still buys cds (me).
I sorta ended up winning the argument since he gave up so I want to know who still buys cds and why.

well iv startd buying cds l8ly, cz my damn computer is screwd and i cnt dwnload stuff really!!!....but its better buying cds, cz it adds to your collection of music!!!

I still buy cds. I download a lot, but I download stuff that I haven't heard. It's mainly to explore. And anything that I end up listening to a lot, or just plain love, I will buy on cd.
I have spent a good 300 quid (600 dollars) on cds this year alone.
Actually that reminds me, I'm off to buy the new Bloom 06 cd now.
EDIT: Actually it's not out yet. Oh well.

CDs definitely.

i download massive amounts of music, but none of that is legal, so frankly, i'm not going to complain about it being low quality if i didn't pay for it.

if i really like the artist, then i buy the CD, though. why wouldn't i?

oh. and as for the why...

for me the biggest reason to buy CD is the album art and booklet and etc. being a visual person, i really like to see the visuals associated with the album. also, it's nice to see lyrics if they're there.

after that, it's a back up, and you can rip it to whatever quality your ears/harddrive can stand.

Exactly, I download my share of music.. lol But I also buy my share of music in return.. :)

Sometimes having the real CD feels, better? lol Just gets you more interested in it I guess.

And you just have to have the real stuff when it comes to Daft Punk, it just gets you pumped. ^^

Yeah, I only download if I only want to download just a song or two. I really don't have much downloaded songs in my iTunes. 80% of what I got are just cds.

Alive 2007 will be the first physical CD I buy in a while, so yeah I'd say I'm mainly a "digital" person myself.

I still buy CDs...
I guess I just like having the hard copy of an album...
and the quality always seems to be better.
Plus, I think with going out and buying an album has a fulfiling feel/sense to it. Knowing that there was music so good that it made you want to leave your house, when you could easily download it for free right off of your computer, speaks volumes about an artist.
