Any other Radio Soulwax fans here? “As Heard On Radio Soulwax PT 2” is my favourite mix/compilation CD to date.
Seen 2 Many DJ’s four times now and Soulwax twice, always rock when they are playing.

soulwax is classified more as a band i think while 2 many djs are...well...djs. i have soulwaxes most of the remixes and radio soulwax part 2.both are brilliant for parties.

Does anybody have the mp3 for the 2 Many DJ's mix of Kraftwerk's "Tour de France" & The Beatles "Eleanor Rigby"?

Soulwax explained their different projects in the Part Of The Weekend Never Dies documentary.

Soulwax = Original tracks, remixes of other bands
Soulwax Niteversions = Soulwax remixing their own tracks.
2manydjs = Soulwax DJ sets

Another little tidbit, the full title of Soulwax's Most of the Remixes... album holds the world record for longest major label album title. The full title is... *deep breath*

Most of the remixes we've made for other people over the years except for the one for Einstürzende Neubauten because we lost it and a few we didn't think sounded good enough or just didn't fit in length-wise, but including some that are hard to find because either people forgot about them or simply because they haven't been released yet, a few we really love, one we think is just ok, some we did for free, some we did for money, some for ourselves without permission and some for friends as swaps but never on time and always at our studio in Ghent.

That's good to know but I don't see how it solves my problem.
My problem

Does anybody have the mp3 for the 2 Many DJ's mix of Kraftwerk's "Tour de France" & The Beatles "Eleanor Rigby"?

This is a really good mix. And I want it.

uh, there are two problems with this...

first of all, please don't spam your request--this thread is about the artist, not solely your request, so don't shoot down other thread contributors.

second, i'm not sure if we can help you out. unless they're unofficial/unreleased (i'm assuming that they probably have been released?) you're not allowed to ask for/share mp3s on this site.

you can buy them online as mp3s,so yes, essentially theyve been released.no go,nightshark.

cant see why youde want the eleanor rigby remix anyhow, they made a rather incredible mess out of the song.

Man, i really want to get into this band. I've listened to a few of their songs and I really like them. The problem is THEY'RE SO CONFUSING! They have different versions of themselves, like 2 Many Djs and Nite Versions, they have different records represending their different versions, I don't even know how many people there meant to be in the band! When it's Soulwax, it's 4 but when it's 2 Many Djs it's......well, 2. I can't get round my head and Wikipedia doesn't help as well! It's just makes my mind go....ARGGH! Anyway, can someone give me some light here on who and what this band is please?

I think the intro of their documentary Part Of The Weekend Never Dies (made by So Me) pretty much sums it up very well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8F0dB8ClP8

I used to think it was confusing as well but once you grasp the concept it's easy to follow ;)

I'm absolutely crazy for Radio Soulwax and the whole 2 Many DJ's visual project... probably one of the most innovative DJ concepts I've ever seen! I actually went to the effort of compiling the visuals for all the tracks they play in their live sets - I think they've got somewhere around 150 right now, it's absolutely stunning. Here's the latest version of the list with links, as a Word document and the original Pages file:
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?4rui97v27r2pblt (Word)
http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?je7pc254hpejl4v (Pages)
Take a look around, I think you'll be surprised by the sheer breadth of artists - as well as the cleverly humorous cover animations!
(P.S. - some of the links refer to specific times in the videos, but due to some quirk in Pages you'll need to change the "%23" in the link to a "#".)

That would be the Jack In The Box (http://vimeo.com/26148824) mix! It's one of my favorites too, that mix has really given me an appreciation for the old Chicago house stuff.

I watch Under the Covers Vol. 2 every day, it's so friggin' great.

It seems they haven't updated the site in a while, though. Are they still working on Dave?

After they did the final set at the Rauw stage on XO festival in Best last saturday, we went to Utrecht and they did it again, and even better and it was dry and warm inside the club :music:
Many, many good tracks, 2 many...

2ManyDJs are always great to film. Crowd going crazy. Very nice DJ-sets. Lot of energy!

This was during Amsterdam Dance Event last year (with Vitalic and Palmbomen)
(15:30 - 47:54 is 2manydjs, but rest is also nice)

Soulwax recently announced on their facebook that finally after 8 years, their new album will be out around this Autumn. While I'm not quite holding my breath about a Autumn release since they have a history of being terrible at deadlines, the fact that they've said they had to cancel their summer gigs to work on this upcoming album seems that they might be actually committed to aim for it so fingers crossed for it to be out this year :)
