View Full Version : The Knife
i just started listening to The Knife and so far i enjoyed most of the songs they made. They wear masks to hide their identity like daft punk which i found interesting except they aren't cool robots but wear weird bird masks. Their Silent Shout album is worth listening to.

I recently discovered the Knife as well, check out some of their videos on last.fm. Spooky, but cool.
I love their music, really emotional and cryptic, but you still wanna dance (or at least nod your head)

Ooh, I did a search and didn't find one, but if there already is, feel free to swipe it out, mods.
Yay for fellow fans! My friend saw them when they played New York about 2 years ago and said it was one of the best live shows she's ever seen. !sad at me missing out!

I love them but they only look stupid :D
I dunno, I can understand where they're coming from. It's not unlike what DP pulled pre-robot phase!

If they don't release a DVD of "Tomorrow, In A Year", I'll probably cry. And as everyone knows, my tears turn into jellybeans!
But it would still be sad.

i adore the knife. one of my fav songs is marble house. and of course, if you love the knife you gotta love fever ray. she doesn't hide her identity then and she's pretty hot.
anyways, they're fantastic. if anyone knows of similar sounding bands, i would love to check them out!

Why don't more artists do stuff like this? The closest I'd ever heard of an "electro-opera" before now was Interstella.

Not very similar to the Knife but it's sort of electro rock opera.

yea tomorrow in a year is like their Tron, not a proper studio effort. This should be amazing. And that trentemoller remix is fantastic, he has some great tracks and remixes

if you listen to it on a good Hi-Fi system, in the right frame of mind, it's spectacular, the sound literally sounds like it is travelling around the room, absolutely amazing album.

New album is a monster, absolutely amazing piece of work.
I saw them two days ago in Brussels. My expectations were kinda low because I had heard some bad things about the concert. But it was really good. Very intense! :D
