this is where I'm at right now. I have it close, but the gels are all attached together and keep bending when I bend the array to fit the inside of the helmet:

1) how perfect do the walls for each separated LED on the chassis have to line up with the bottom of each color gel? if it isn't perfect won't colors run into the next one a little, or is it all about the colors on top?

2) do you attach each color gel separately then put the pinstripe tape over the seams, or do you attach them all together with the pinstripe, then attach them to the chassis?

3) do you leave the white backing on the color gels, as part of the light diffusion effort underneath? or do you peel the backs off so that the color gels are clear, then only do light diffusion underneath?

any help with these quandaries would be greatly appreciated:)

Today i thought 'why not create a whole set of daft punk clothes. I am thinking of making a lot of tees and hoodies with daft punk on it. The logo, pictures, lyrics and other things that are affiliated to daft punk. i know that there are many people just like me who want to have daft punk stuff to wear. i am intending to go to a wholesaler that prints/stitches clothing for a low price and sell this with low/no profit. i want to keep it affordable for people who want to buy it.

But i don't think that i can do this on my own. i mean, i'm no Louis Vutton. So i was hoping that you can think of designs that you might like to have on a T-shirt.

thats one of my old skeletons fit into the torsoboy model. it looks pretty good right? and that skeleton was measured to my head size, so you'd think the cardstock one would be the same, but when i test fitted what i had, it looked humongous.

i want it to be big, so that i have a good enough space for both my head and lights and what not, but is it supposed to look gigantic?

But, I dropped off my helmet to CnC for chroming about a month ago and one of Harrison's blemished helmets were there. So I asked to take a pic of my helmet next to his for a size comparison. They said it was fine, so I snapped a few shots.

I then asked Harrison if it was cool if I post the pics here because I constantly get the question "how big is your bucket compared to Volpin's?"

So.... Here they are:


Mine is slightly shorter (about 1") and as you can see its a bit more narrow. I hope this helps for anyone who wants either or.

I should be picking up my helmet from chrome in a week or so, I will take new pics for comparison when they're the same color.
