Does anyone else think that his "closer" track is definitely Daft punk inspired??
Using the sample from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind"
It sounds exactly like a bit Daft Punk did with Phoenix at their encore in 2010.

    Re: Deadmau5

And just when I thought that he was heading back to the same sort of style as RAT and his earlier stuff, he releases Superliminal... at least he is evolving as an artist mind you. Can't say I'm a massive fan of it myself, that 'wobble' sound or whatever you wanna call it doesn't really do much for me I gotta be honest. Sounds very much like Cthulu Sleeps in the middle section I think, probably my favourite part of the track but like most mau5 songs, it will grow on me majorly.

Sleeping is giving in, no matter what the time is,
Sleeping is giving in, so lift those heavy eyelids.

Wow this thread is old. Like some of his songs, but in general I find him to be extremely repetitive.

The point of the thread is to discuss everything deadmau5...It's not meant to be new.
Also..How can deadmau5 be more reptitive than Daft?!?
edit edit edit edit edit: Okay I take that back etc. Your opinion is somewhat valid -_-

http://soundcloud.com/onhel-1/deadma...s-n-stuff-with may be of some help. Since you can't download it just google SoundCloud Downloader and it's pretty easy from there.

    Re: Deadmau5

Does anyone else find Deadmau5's live shows to be very sub par when it comes to the music?
His light shows are amazing, and he puts on a great show if you are there with the crowd and the lights and everything, but when you listen to the audio by itself, he barely does any mixing and he just seems to play studio songs one after each other. It is a great party to be at, but the bootlegs or listening (not watching) to the live DVD hasn't really done anything to the music.
