Things you WISH you could like.

This thread is for things you wish you liked, because in reality, they're really cool, and you know it, but you just find yourself saying "Wow, this isn't good at all". Like your brain is having seriously conflicting ideas about something (music, movies, whatever).

Maybe I can explain it better through examples.

1.) Girl Talk. - Girl talk is so damn cool. But I HATE HIM. Gah, his songs aren't listenable at all, using really immature rap lyrics and crap... but man are they cool. I love sampling, and he's great at it. I love megamixes and mash ups, and I the alias Girl Talk is freaking awesome. But dammit... I don't like his music. And that sucks because I really wanna like this guy.

2.) Ocarina of Rhyme. - If you've never heard of this, it's a remix project someone did online that uses music from the hit video game Legend of Zelda: the Ocarina of Time (one of the best games and soundtracks ever) and mashes it up with classic rap lyrics.

This is awesome. But I don't like any of it! GAH!

I really really wish my brain would let me listen to this song past the intro, but past that, it's just not good at all. I want to like it, but I just can't.

3.) Justice - Planisphere. It's awesome, but for some reason, I don't like it. I can't make myself listen to it. But again, I wish I could, because a 4 part electro song is a GREAT idea. Meh...

You know what I mean? Does your mind ever torment you with conflicting emotions about something you WANT to like?

I REALLY want to like Kraftwerk, I only like one or two songs but I just can't bring myself to listen and wikipedia the hell outta them :O

same with me. i try to listen to their songs a lot but can only bring myself to keep 3 of them. everyone else says 'theyre so good!' and 'how can you not like Kraftwerk?! theyre... KRAFTWERK!' but they just dont do it enough for me, i guess.

that... and top gear. (sorry stacey). its a hilarious show. but unfortunately, im not into cars enough for it to keep my attention for an hour.

Oh, I REALLY wish I could like Tea, or Coffee, either one. When people ask 'In a morning, what do you have to drink?' and I'm like, oh I'll just have some Orange juice or something and they are like 'WHAT?!?!?! NO TEA, EUGH.' and I'm just like, ok then Tea - very milky - 12 sugars

Im with you with Kraftwerk. I was watching the Minimum-Maximum DVD on YT the other day, and i was like ".... nah.... gah (in a sense of despair)...."

And Top Gear is awesome. Just hearing Jeremy Clarkson's antics cheers me up.

I wish I could actually love cars and soccer. Many people I know would stab me if I told them that I am not a fan of cars or soccer. I am very ignorant on anything related to cars, but I like them a bit.
I have never enjoyed soccer really. I only like playing it at times, but I can't stand watching a match on TV because I don't have the patience to sit through the whole match.
