Where else was the encore going to go? The main show takes up a whole CD, so the Encore has to go on a bonus one.

Yeah, I was gonna say that. Forgot about that haha. The show runs over the 80 minute mark a CD can fit.
Hopefully there will be some extra tracks of some sort to fill the rest of the CD
ALSO, theres no DVD announcment YET!
I can't imagine a world where a DVD of this show isn't eventually released.
If its true that they stopped taping the L.A. show (i think i heard that silly rumor at the French Touch forums), they stiill have other shows they can tape.
And taping a live show requires a lot of work. I can't imagine someone all of a sudden just said "this isnt going right, we're scrapping it!"
ok, random thought ends.

I admit I would like the DVD to come out, though. We'll see what the future hold in that respect.
and probably for the music video they'll use the HBST from the Bercy show and have the video done to that song.

[/quote1187205069]they might use NY audio for the single, since that is where it was filmed. then again, with at least the first 30 minutes of the show being filmed and will most likely be a montage format, syncing audio and video probably won't be a big deal...

15th Aug 2007, 21:31 #15The audio would be from one single source, not jumping around from camera to camera.
Maybe they will mix in audience cheering from certain camera shots, but its not gonna be from each camera (the audio)
15th Aug 2007, 22:04 #16In the Pitchfork article it says that the video for the single HBFS release is going to be clips filmed in NY, with Michael Gondry directing; which basically ties up everything we know nicely.
Occam's Razor people. :-D
EDIT: Turns out it's Olivier Gondry, his brother, apparently.

WTF guys?!
no DVD?! that's very disappointing. D<
i don't understand why they'd even bother with a CD since it's all overs the internet already...
and i guess this means i'll have to buy the single. not a fan of singles, but since it was at the show i went to...

There's nothing offical, remember..we still don't know and daft punk likes to keep all as a secret, so this are only speculations, we can't still say no DVD release or no encore as bonus, we still have to wait to see what's hoinh to happen.

LOL, I didn't know DVDs were WAY more expensive than CDs =P
Yes, I'll but the 2-CD edition because I want the best quality from the Alive 2007 show. The quality from the Coachella show is better than Bercy's. I want a great quality version of an Alive 2007 show
16th Aug 2007, 02:12 #19Um actually, its Oliver Gondry* Directing (Micheals Bro).
And I assume theyre gunna use Audio from DAFT PUNK themselves mixed in with audio recorded live from who knows where, perhaps DP's own mic somewhere at the show or from the various cameras.
Another topic to discuss.
WHAT PART DO THEY MEAN BY Harder Better Faster Stronger? SOmeone on here said his friend taped the show for 30 minutes and gave the footage to DP, what 30 minutes did he film? It either has to be Face to Face or Around the World... but honestly niether of them are purely HBFS so titling it HBFS is kinda wierd in my opinion...
And yeah God I hope they use LA Show for something... like I thought they were gunna... It had those awesome arena circle lights too!! which i think were exclusive to that show...!

read that its the same thing but its erm... a lil better worded IMO.
It states that its gunna chronicle the BERCY show... so thats what the audio is gunna be from :O :O
Good good I suppose// not that I dont already have bootleg... oh well... you Know were all gunna buy this.
Okay I have also come to a new conclusion: the HBFS LIVE single is probably going to be the Face to Face version.... oh well. Why you ask? Because it logically makes the most since as far as a releasing it as a single song. It is preceded by a 30 second pause/break in the set and then BAM the song intros and also, it is directly followed by another break in the set, making for a perfect single song.
