Death From Above 1979
30th Jul 2009, 16:01 #1Anyone else listen to them?
DFA1979 was a heavy metal influenced dance-punk band from Toronto, Canada. The members were Jesse F. Keeler (who is now in MSTRKRFT) and Sebastian Grainger. Jesse was on bass, synths and Sebastian on vocals, drums.
Fun fact: Crystal Castle's "Untrust Us" contains samples from their song "Dead Womb".

which is odd, because i listened to two of their songs once and i was immediately thinking 'ew, no way. i hate this.' and then of course, i ended up listening to more and... you know... got the album.

But if they didn't we wouldn't have MSTRKRFT..
so there is good and bad.
Their album is superb, I can listen to every track with ease. They had a very unique light rock/electro style that I love.
