I'm currently reading Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

    I love it.

I also just finished The Third Lynx by Timopthy Zahn which was amazing, and Bill The Intergalactic Hero Volume II: The Planet Of The Bottled Brains. not so amazing. Really stupid... but hilarious.

Sure we do... it's pretty standard to cover English literature in high school. Most fo my friend in their senior year are doing 20th century English lit, and they have to read all those poppycock Dickinson novels. I'm in community college now, though, so I get to read COOL English lit like Frankenstein and CS Lewis's Space Trilogy.

I get really bored of some books by the end of the first chapter. It have be something non-fiction or murder book to get me hooked.
I read a non-fiction book about some 14 year old girl that got killed by her babysitter because the babysitter wanted to be her.
That book was freaky but really cool. Can't remember the name.
Only book collection I have are a few Harry Potters (That were given to me, he sucks goat. Lol).
Read a chapter of a few Austens, got bored.
    1984, not for me.
Lord Of The Flies, Creepy children.
    To Kill A Mockingbird, ok.
Shakespeare, good, but I don't like that he put some other bit of plays he did into another. Like Much Ado About Nothing, That had a bit of Romeo and Juliet and Macbeth in it.
Next year we get to read Frankenstien. Somewhat I'm excited for that. I hope I don't get dissapointed.

The last book i've read was There's No Such Place As Far Away by Richard Bach, for an oral presentation.

Its incredibly short (it only has like 7 pages of actual text, and each page only has 4 or 5 lines), but its very deep. Makes you think.

Speaking of which, i need to choose one for the presentation in a few months.
DAMN IT! That is such a good idea!

One of my most favorite books ever is And Then There Were None (originally Ten Little Niggers...) by Agatha Christie. Read it when I was about ten years old, thanks to my mom being a hugeass fan of detective stories, and was totally amazed at how awesome a book can be. After that, Agatha Christie was my most favorite author for quite some time, haha.

Then there's the usual classics such as Lord of the Flies by William Golding and Animal Farm by George Orwell*, both of which I recommend you to read (if schools haven't made you read them yet :P), The Lord of The Rings, etc etc. Brokeback Mountain by Annie Proulx!!!

*Speaking of George Orwell, I still haven't read 1984. Shame on me, eh?

As for more recent, non-fiction books, I recommend e.g. Naomi Klein's books (No Logo, The Shock Doctrine...), The Year of Living Biblically by A. J. Jacobs, and Gomorrah (orig. Gomorra, in Italian) by Roberto Saviano. Also, for lovers of economy (esp. stock trading), and for others too, Binge Trading - The Real Inside Story of Cash, Cocaine and Corruption in the City by Seth Freedman. And for all of us lovers of electronic music, Last Night a DJ Saved My Life: The History of the Disc Jockey by Bill Brewster and Frank Broughton.

And now I shall read Positioning: The Battle for Your Mind by Al Ries and Jack Trout, because if I read it well, I get OVER 9000 points from my boss. And then he'll lend me another book about marketing, yay!

I'm currently reading Foundation and Earth by Isaac Asimov. I love all of his works. They are pretty awesome.

I have a lot of favorite writers, but I think the ones I like the most are Isaac Asimov, Michael Crichton and Jack London.

Also, my favorite book ever is The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri. A bit slow, but it IS epic.

I'm actually more of a horror person. I like books by authors like Darren Shan and Anthony Horowitz. I only read the twilight series because it had vampires in it lol, they weren't bad I quite liked them but the film was absolutely crap in comparison!

I haven't really read many books that didn't have fantasy in them but I actually quite liked 'of mice and men' which I had to read for my english literature exam.

I'm reading right now Neil Gaiman's American Gods and I love it so far. I recommend.

The best book I've read so far is Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami. Read it.
