Yeah, I thought we need an art thread. Because Art is frikkin cool.

Post anything that is ART related here.

Today, I've been looking on art websites and found some very nice graphics and illustrations.

    I found Sakke Soini.
    Lovin' his work.

Check out more of his stuff here and here.

Regarding Sakke Soini: (like I said on FB) he rocks when VJ'ing. Come to Finland, people, he's VJ'ing at all the cool gigs (like Busy P earlier this year)!

For some time now I've been venturing into street art (stencil graffiti especially). Artists such as Banksy, Blek Le Rat, Jef Aerosol, etc. rock. But other kinds of street art are cool, too: example.

And now I'm off to find me some plywood; spray cans I already got...

I was like is this the same guy who VJ'ed Busy P? Nahhh. But then I read your post. I don't remember his VJ alias anymore.

Most of my favorites are comic book artists like Dave Gibbons, Mike Mignola and my new favorite is Philip Tan.

My favorite photographer is Clay Enos.

    and So-Me of course!

    cool thread, bro!

i have to say i'm not totally on board with this retro 80s aesthetic that's so popular recently. but i like a couple of the pieces you posted, spam, like the first, last, and rainbow pyramid-y ones of Sakke.

In fact I'm not a fan of any of the "Young British Artists" from the 90's and early 2000's They're all bollock and think they can sell dirty laundry as art. *****s.

There was some chick that I saw on an Art TV show, I can't remember her name but she used to make artificial islands and live on them. She was very very weird.

I wrote a essay on Casper David Friedrich.
    He's so emo. Lol.

    Hai d00ds
This is my first attempt on a "Trendy Galactic" poster thingy.
    Critique?
I know the black stars shouldn't be there, I put them there by accident, and I couldn't get rid of them for some reason.
