    Finally Finished my Thomas Helmet :D

    I started working on my Thomas Bangalter helmet months ago but due to miscellaneous distractions, I've only been able to finish it now
    I'm just really happy I'm finally done as I went through some troubles when finishing it up.
    The helmet started as a baseball helmet and bristol board for the face shell,
    after attaching the shell to the baseball helmet I layered it in bondo and sanded it down with 80 and then 180 grit sandpaper.
    It does have quite a few imperfections, but considering I only put one layer of bondo and sanded it once I don't think it's terrible
    I made this for my halloween costume so it's going to be worn mostly in the dark anyways
    After i sanded it down I gave it a layer of white primer to make the helmet one consistent colour;
    this was followed by a gloss black coat of paint and then a final layer of chrome spray paint.
    Once this was all dry I found some tinted black plastic sheets, they're fold-able like a piece rubber but once secured in the helmet its rigid and durable.
    I've ordered an LED belt buckle off ebay to see how it would look if i fitted it to the inside of my helmet since I'm not skilled enough to make my own circuits
    I've already made gloves for my costume as well, made out of black winter gloves and the inside of pop cans for the metal plates.
    Pictures of the entire process can be seen here:

    Now I just need a leather jacket for my costume, does anyone know where in Canada i could get a decent looking leather jacket for not too much money? (80$ and under preferably)
    Let me know what you think of the helmet

    Could you give me some more detail about what you used for your visor? It sounds like they were really easy to work with. And it looks great!

    I really can't mostly because I'm not quite sure what it is
    I got a family member to get me a sheet of it, they work in a small company that uses welders and such and they use it apparently for visors for eye protection, but aside from that i don't know exactly what it is, sorry
