I was out shopping today and I saw this: http://www.blogcdn.com/news.holidash...1266518972.jpg when I saw it I thougt, I could see people cutting that and doing a little work to make it either of the helmets, look at the ears. Alot like Thomas, and the red outline along the silver looks like a good base to hold the dome for guy mans head. I'd really like to see someone make a helmet using this as a base!

You can do it that way if you like.

Myself i'm some what of a perfectionist when putting together something that already exists in a movie or in real life. I want the most possible accurate representation I can make.

As far as the helmet as it stands in addition to it only being the front profile you could use somewhat of a method Vloplin did to get a general shape and set it on top of that helmet.

It could be done if you were looking to make a helmet much like the ones made for the extras in the movie. That had no LEDs at all. As you would probably not have enough room for all the electrical components.

But hey if it took a major special effects company 3 years to make Daft Punk helmets and Vloplin did it in 16-17 months with no where near the same resources or experience that special effects company has then i bet this project could be done.
