    daft punk and justice?

Remove this ad: become a supporter
listen i've heard so many people compare daft punk and justice, but can we really compare them at all?

daft punk have been around wayy longer then justice and they have more experience, justice only has 1 album at the moment (not counting across the universe) and daft punk have 4 (not including alive 2007 or 1997)

plus they are 2 different types of music, justice is amazing as well i do agree with that but IMO they can't be compared at the moment, what do you think?

we've had numerous discussions about this. like, a lot. look in the music section of the forum and you'll find people talking about this. i'll leave the thread open, so we can find some of those threads, but this thread WILL be closed.

Daft Punk - Acid House/French House.

Justice - Electro House, with a couple of French House songs.

They're very different IMO. The most you could compare is Human After All and Cross. You can hear a song and know it's Justice, and you can hear a song and know it's Daft Punk.

That's why they cannot be compared IMO.

I would say that daft punk hugely inspired "that justice sound" with HAA. I mean, before HAA came out no one had done that gritty, raw, type of electro. Right?

Nope. Have you heard Satisfaction by Benny Benassi?

Musique Vol. 1 would've been an album if the tracklisting looked more like this:

    1. Musique
    2. The New Wave
    3. Assault
    4. Beta Wax
    5. Da Funk (Armand Van Helden's 'Ten Minutes of Funk' Remix)
    6. One More Time [Club Mix]
    7. Ouveture
    8. Aerodynamite
    9. Rockapella
    10. Get Funky Get Down (Daft Punk Remix)
    11. Chemical Brothers - Life Is Sweet (Daft Punk Remix)
    12. Scott Grooves - Mothership Connection (Daft Punk Remix)
    13. Ian Pooley - Chord Memory (Daft Punk Remix)
    14. I:Cube - Disco Cubizm (Daft Punk Remix)
    15. Gabrielle - Forget About the World (Daft Punk 'Dont Forget the World' Mix)

That would've made a pretty badass album IMO.

Of course, but it's not the same. Benassi's song doesn't sound as raw. It sounds polished and organized. Do you know what I mean? For example: Noisia's machine-gun: Very raw synth.

Justice are deffinetly more of a club based duo rather than a full on musical experience which is what I would class Daft Punk as. You can see the influence that DP have on Justice and I suppose thats why they are compared to each other but in my opinion they dont really come close to DP at all

Digitalism is the only band that does really compare to DP in any way right now.
