I'm really looking forward to Half Life (Episode) 3 but who doesn't really ?
Well, how long has it been since episode 2 came out? Hasn't it been 4 or 5 years now? But nonetheless, yeah. Is skyrim that good? From what little I've played of it, I didn't really enjoy, but everyone's raving about how great it is, so... Should I play it for a long amount of time?

I am currently playing (and I always will be playing) Gran Turismo 5.

Really looking forward to Need for Speed Most Wanted 2 this fall...why do I think I'm probably the only racing game fan in here?

Oh, dude don't worry about that at all. I, myself, am a moderate racing game fan. I'm a fan of a more arcade-y racers like F-Zero and mario kart, but recently, driftninjabr-z has introduced me to forza 4 and (soon) Forza Horizon and after a while, I'm starting to kick ass at that game. And I might get GT5 soon now that I have a PS3. How is it compared to the other entries in the GT series?

    Re: The Video Game Thread

I'm glad someone finally made a thread about games! I'm playing minecraft a lot lately. I've been playing since the early versions of beta and I just think it's a really creative game for people to express themselves (like littlebig planet did for many gamers a few years ago).

I've also gone back to playing Animal Crossing: Wild World on the DS just for old time's sake. I just love that game! It's the most relaxed game I've ever played.

True, to the open-world style of minecraft I'm also into bethesda games recently such as Skyrim and Fallout 3. I don't even care about the glitches! If anything, that makes it more fun! I've taken pictures and video footage of everything that seems to go wrong in those games because they're just hilarious xD

I played through ALL the Assassin's Creed games recently and thoroughly enjoyed them all even though there were some elements that were extremely frustrating in the gameplay. So I'm looking forward to the release of number 3 now even though I won't be able to play it for three months

I quite like fighting games but I find it tedious to have to learn all the button combinations which is why my favourite fighting game is Super Smash Bros. Melee. It's simple, it's fun but Brawl was crap in comparison.

I'm a big nintendo fan so I tend to love classic nintendo series such as Mario, Pokemon, Metroid, Pikmin, Starfox, and Kirby (Kirby is underlined because he's the best in the list, naturally)

Before I end this extraordinarily long paragraph I'd like to leave a special mention for my two favourite gaming series of all time.

They are Metal Gear Solid and The Legend of Zelda. I've played these games more times than I can count! They've both got fantastic stories, characters, soundtracks and gameplay and I don't think I could ever get tired of playing them. Plus, they're both notorious for the amount of easter eggs hidden in the games. It's games like these that made me what to be a game designer when I was younger.

    Re: The Video Game Thread

Since I'm on holiday right now, I'm going to start playing some classics on the Nintendo GamecubeŽ like Super Mario Sunshine, StarFox Adventures, Godzilla, Finding Nemo (it's actually a good game ). I have Super Smash Brothers: Melee but it doesn't work . I spend most of my game time on the PC, but I enjoy: DS, Gamecube, PS3, Gameboy and iOS. My all time favourite game.

I'm currently playing Minecraft with the Technic mod pack installed, and I'm most looking forward to Assassin's Creed III, and Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time.

    Re: The Video Game Thread

The Legend of Zelda: best games of all time I'm a pretty hardcore Zelda fan. I love Nintendo, can't wait for the Wii U!!

And Metroid Prime is one of the best games ever imo. Can't wait to see what Retro Studios is making for the Wii U, supposed to become one of the best looking games ever!

But atm I'm playing gears of war 3. Yes I also have an Xbox, just no PS3 (not really keen on that)
