VERY Limited Thomas Helmet run (raw castings, 5 left!)

i dont live in the U.S. BUT my sister has a courier that redirects everything to my address outside U.S. you might wanna look at some companies that do that..

Is it possible that you could help us (falcon NL and me) out ? Maybe sending the package over an US adress to us by using that service. I'd really a spot in the line here.

its very hard cause i dont live in U.S. and the package will be delivered to a Agency. Which will then redirect it to me. I have looked to see if they had stores in europe and they dont. You have 2 options look for a similar agency that can let you have a postal code to recieve packages in the U.S. and redirect them to your home or ( this is a long shot) if you want i can give you the address volpin is sending me the DP helmet.... then he would send it there and it will be redirected to me... after i get it i would have to mail it to you guys. Thats the second option but first of all you should know... the agency i work with is good but there is a chance of things getting lost very minimal but none the less there is chance of loosing the product i do have ensurance for that .... they do charge me money for handling packages and the redirecting.... so you would have to pay that and then pay again all the bills for me to ship it to your home which i don't know where you guys live.... also take into consideration how much it will take to do that whole process. and the additional money it will cost you if you do ... think about it.

ok i think id be easier, yeah i said that, two choose the second option. But before i really choose this method i need to know what this would cost me overall (shipping and redirecting + insurance only). Let me know please. this is the actual reason to buy a helmet or not. it all depends on that. thanks man

umm thats a pickle cause i wont know the exact charges until i get mine but a ball park figure for mine to get here from were they are, hoping the weight doesn't exceed 5 pounds. about $100 dollars.... it can be less but thats what im expecting to be or more now add the shipping from where i am to your country which i think the only way would be fedex. do the math and see.

personally i have other plans before painting.... involves electronics and other stuff so paint is the last thing in my mind. but i will send it off once finish with it to have it pro painted in chrome... it will cost me but that kinda job is left to the ones that can really do it...

I will try to be as thorough in this listing as possible, if anyone has any questions please ask them here and I will do my best to answer and update this post for everyone's benefit.

I am taking orders for casts of my Daft Punk helmet project. Please note that I am not one of those sellers that is dependent on funding in order to fulfill the project. I have several gallons of resin on hand, the molds are finished, and I have already pulled castings. This thread is also active on the RPF as well, and I will be updating both simultaneously.



Specifications on the castings:

• I will be making TEN helmet blanks.
• These are raw, untrimmed resin. They will require some cleanup, and minor filling/sanding. You won't have to remake anything, but a 1/32" skim coat of filler on a few areas on the helmet will be necessary for a mirror finish.
• Each "kit" will include one helmet and 2 ears, un-attached. These are cast in SmoothCast 65D resin. No fillers, fibers, or cloth mat. Only casting resin.
• They do NOT come with a visor.
• They are one-size-fits-most (images below)
• Helmets may be tinted resin. This is to help me achieve uniform thickness of the resin during the casting process.

Ordering, Pricing & Shipping:

• Price is $300 + shipping (PayPal only) to lower 48 USA via FedEx. I do not ship internationally. Shipping is typically between $10-$20, depending on region. Packages will be insured for the full amount against damages.
• These are claimed on a first-come, first served basis. This is independent of any inquiries I have received via PM, email, or other communication. I have not promised anyone a slot in this run, and your spot in line will be determined by your posting in this thread to claim a helmet.
• Reservation of a spot requires minimum payment of $100 via PayPal. You can pay the full amount as well if you wish. Remainder of balance is due before shipping.
• If you claim a spot on the list of 10, and I do not receive your payment within 48 hours, you will be deleted from the list permanently.
• Only one helmet per person.
• There will ONLY be 10 orders taken in this run. I will do more at a later date, but this is all I will have time for currently.
• If I do not get 10 orders, the run will still go forward. Even if I only receive one order, that single person will get a helmet.
• I will be pulling these copies throughout the month of February, shipping at the end of the first week of March.

I WILL BE OUT OF TOWN ON A BUSINESS TRIP THE LAST WEEK OF FEBRUARY UNTIL MARCH 2ND. Please take note of this for any future communication.

• Currently only the "Electroma" style ears are available. For the purposes of this run, that's all that being offered, and I won't split sets and sell helmets sand ears, or ears sans helmets.

Thanks for the support guys! The spots are filling up pretty fast!

I do apologize for the international thing, but getting packages over borders is an expensive process (I don't do the "gift" thing as that won't let you insure the item for the full value) and involves a lot of paperwork.

Dez is in Honduras but has provided me a US shipping address, which works perfectly. I'm definitely okay with going about things that way.

Cant wait to see you guys get cracking on these!
