No DJ Shadow thread? I am disappoint TDC.

Joshua Paul Davis, better known as DJ Shadow is an American music producer, DJ and songwriter. He is considered a prominent figure in the development of instrumental hip hop and first gained notice with the release of his highly acclaimed debut album Endtroducing....., which was constructed entirely from samples.

    YES.
Endtroducing is a phenomenal album and anyone clamoring for another one can just go listen to Preemptive Strike and Psyence Fiction; I think they make up an "era" for him where he did all that good, cerebral instrumental stuff he's famous for. I've also got The Private Press which has its flashes of brilliance (Blood On The Motorway is nothing short of epic), but I've yet to really listen to anything on The Outsider besides This Time and Enuff (both great by the way) because 3 Freaks just turned me off so much. He's continuously good live and his new "Shadowsphere" looks awesome although I don't really like that he's been playing fan remixes of his old stuff live with it, though I guess that's just to promote the remix album. The EP he recently released is a good sign of things to come; it reminds me a lot of his Essential Mix. It's basically all the psychedelics of Endtroducing without the hip-hop. Strange but effective.

I'll be honest. The only song I've heard is Organ Donor. Haven't really listened to his stuff yet.

I have heard him on DJ Hero and Rolling Stones Drum King. Not too interested in him TBH.

My friend was telling me about this guy a few days ago when he heard me listening to Nujabes. I will definitely have to check out some more of his stuff after listening to these Youtube vids.

Dude! Don't Let Keak Da Sneak and Turf Talk throw you off. Yes they do kind of ruin the song, but that beat slaps. Honestly, Whenever I Listen to that song I always skip to the last 1:30 when theirs no rapping. Some quality production right there
