It's true, the helmets below have many tubes and the LEDs you mentioned.

Wow I thought I knew most of the Daft Punk costume changes, it is nice to see something that has been hidden for 11 years right under our noses. Love it!

My God what an obnoxious interview, good thing they started talking in their interviews because having to read pre-scripted LED lights of Thomas' helmet would be the most annoying way to get information from them.
I feel bad for the interviewer, not only does he have to read the fast moving burry letters but he then has to immediately translate them to German. lol!

That is one hell of a find fairplay.

Re: A new discovery about the Discovery Helmets

    haha quite cool.

i think, though, since the vast majority of images are of the "Diet Discovery" versions, wouldn't it make more sense to treat them as the "average" helmet, and distinguish the full-throttle helmets as the "Early Discovery" versions? lol

(also pst, ifc is a girl, iirc.)

this! so like when i saw this thread originally, part of me is like, "yeah, of course!" but another part of me is like "oh yeahh. i never really noticed." but it's good to have all the details ironed out regardless.

as for the balaclavas/gloves, i honestly always thought they just had some neck-sized plastic tubing around their neck. you know there is that black, ribbed plastic tubing that is hollow and rather thin? i don't really know what it's used for, but that's what i assumed it was. lol i can see the balaclavas being massive pains in the neck (lol almost literally) but i don't think the gloves are really that much of a hassle.

and yeah, churro, i was thinking precisely of that video as i was thinking about these helmets! ('cause i was wondering if they still had the armband control panel), since it's not really visible in a lot of the photos posted up there. but yeah. lol

also i just want to say that this thread in general is great. lost of well-written thorough responses--almost, dare i say, scholarly! lol this is what all tdc threads should strive to be.
