Sending music to a blog for promotion

I have noticed that some of the "veteran" musicians on TDC have had music posted on various Electronic Music blogs. I am thinking of sending my next EP to a blog for some promotion and to get a bigger fanbase. I've been reading about how to send music and what to say, but I feel like some of them are keeping information to themselves. Anyone have any suggestions on what blog to send it to or hints & tips?

All of the above have a fairly big reader base.

About writing. Don't come off as an advanced spam bot, but write with personality without being too much of a suck up. It's a fine line you need to find, which can catch the blog people's attention without making them go, "Why should I even listen to this?"

In the end though, there's no harm in trying to send your music to a lot of blogs. If they don't end up posting it, maybe you should start rethinking the way you want to promote yourself

Couple of tips: Upload it onto a streaming website, Soundcloud or Bandcamp preferably, because most bloggers won't bother downloading something that they aren't sure they will like.

Also, write the email in a personal way. If you start off with something like "Hey friend", then we know it's something that's borderline spam. And make sure you write the blog name correctly. Misspelling the blog name is a big no-no.

If you prefer a certain writer of a blog, send it to them. Sometimes only one person has a hold of the blog's email inbox and sending the promo to an individual may increase your chances.

Spamming that blog with your email is also always a good idea to get their attention. 5-10 email a day will do fine.

So I think I'll send my music to "toomanysebastians" and while I'm at it, I'm changing my name to "Sebastian Sebastian". The Nike advert isn't a bad idea either.

Yes, sir, I agree with you. Most of the musician posts promotional message on the internet. This is the best way for online publicity or promotion of music. You use this way to promote your music. Facebook and YouTube is the best site for online music promotion. You can post your promotional message on these sites.
