So as far as i can tell, there is no relation to the stardust song apart from the title and one line in the song (the music sounds better with you). HOWEVER, one of the band members said that the song was originally made by daft punk in 98, but never used it, so Big Time Rush got their hands on it, and made it their own.

The vocals are, the music itself has potential.

It seems HIGHLY unlikely that Daft Punk made a track called 'Music Sounds Better With You' the SAME year, which Thomas Bangalter and the rest of Stardust released their track of the same name. Furthermore, in that time period Daft Punk didn't incorporate complete lyrics into their music as this does.

Lastly, why the hell would Daft Punk be like, "lol, we'll troll the crap out of people by giving this stupid kids act permission to do a cover of an unreleased song of ours"?

They probably took the song and changed it a bit, added/replaced the vocals, and made it really ****ty.

big time rush is a boy band put together by the disney channel to make a kids show that revolves around the life of a normal 'pop idol band' and their fame while they break out into song and dance throughout the course of their 'normal' lives. its beyond puke-inducing.
