giving life back to a wreck
23rd Oct 2011, 23:44 #1Last year (I believe), I posted my progress of my horridly made Thomas helmet :P I hadn't used any resin, bondo, or a real visor. And on top of that, it barely fit me.
SO! I have taken it out of my closet and giving it some life. I will be using it for my local farmer's market which is having a costume contest this saturday. It will still be a wreck, and i plan on selling it really cheap on Ebay for some kid whose body isn't done growing yet.
I'll try to add updates all this week
Start bondo-ing:

I decided to work on it a little this week at the farmers market:

24th Oct 2011, 00:50 #2Umm, did you mix hardener with that bondo? It's not supposed to be that Colour it should be pink after mixing hardener if u didn't put hardener it won't harden and you helmet will be pretty much useless

24th Oct 2011, 00:57 #3i put hardener in it. i think the reason it's not pink is because i used quite a bit when i did that pass, so i didn't put a whole lot in so it wouldn't set too soon
