"Da Funk Soul Brothers" - Gear, June 2000

This brief article finds Thomas hanging out in Miami for the Winter Music Conference, one of the "pale-skinned clubbers" looking very out of place among the tanned, beach-going masses. He talks about the release of the D.A.F.T. DVD, which is described as being the final act of Homework; however, he doesn't say much about the upcoming release of Discovery, other than it will be a "stylistic shift." Understated as always, haha. It's fun to find articles from around '99 or 2000: it's like reading about the calm before the storm. He also talks about the exact moment they made the switch from playing rock to electronic music, which included listening to Primal Scream's Screamadelica and going to their first rave in 1992 (an event which is described in a bit more detail in this article.)

Success is a fragile thing, but it's good to put yourself in a dangerous place - That's what makes you move forward.
I love that quote so much.

    Awesome interview as usual.

I just love how modest Thomas is when talking about Homework and Discovery, they are like the two greatest electronic records ever produced (totally my opinion here people) and he's just so crazily modest about it.

Sleeping is giving in, no matter what the time is,
