You know what though? The tactic works extremely well because it makes people want their music even more, kind of reverse psychology.

But it's good to have some small leaks though, to make our bodies ready. Just imagine not hearing a word about Daft Punk for years. We all assume they've retired. And then, new album. We wouldn't comprehend what was going on.

But now, all eyes are on them, ready to react at their smallest move. Two words. "New album". And we would instantly be all over the place telling everyone. No marketing necessary.

The question is when this glory day will come? It would be a pretty good time now since everyone is still excited about the news on the collabs... If they wait another 3 month, this marketing strategy Ridley was talking about wouldn't really work since people would "forget" (yea not really the correct expression) about that there could be something coming soon.

Finally I can agree with something in this thread, they are getting that album done and probably without hurries, they are going to promote the album like everyone else does

Probably they'll fire 20.000.000 Copys into space and wait for them to rain on earth. I have no idea what is going to happen, more important is that there is something about to happen. Everything else is just personal taste and speculation!

Do we know what they'll be doing with their helmets? The helmets have been lacking since the Human After All stuff. The el wire is cool, but there's no mystery behind that...

I've said it before and I'll say it again - maybe they've already released the album as a single .ZIP file on PirateBay or some other torrent website. It could already be out there and we don't even know it...now THAT'S a new way to market an album!

That would be different lol, but I bet they will probably do what they have done in the past. I hope there won't be, but most likely there will be countless new fakes and only a few rare leaked tracks, like we saw with Tron Legacy.

All the alternative ways to release in album are cool, but in the end I'm still partial to an "old school" album release.

I really really hope they release it on vinyl. And that there are a lot of vinyls made so that it doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get one.
