28th Jun 2012, 10:41 #123Thanks for the kind words folks but not only is the helmet is too fragile to even send in the post, but it's ugly as sin. It's all chipped around the base as it was such a thin cast,it's also covered in little dents and the ears sag inwards a little. To top that off there's a serious amount of blistering in the onyx, so if anyone else on here has been using onyx and knows how to get a nice smooth finish using it then can you let me know please....

30th Jun 2012, 22:59 #129Cost wise will probably be around £250, which i think is roughly $395 and that will include the visor. The materials cost so much more in the uk than the states and that's pretty much reason for the price. I totally get that it's at the more costly end for a cast which is why i really want to get a perfect mold. I really want to put out something that takes minimum prep work for the buyer if at all possible...new rubber next week
