Re: Daft Punk Nominated: 54th Annual Grammy Awards
12th Feb 2012, 23:14 #121I've got to admit, I was. I thought it was a brilliant movie and the soundtrack deserves an award, so nothing wrong here. I also have to confess that i liked the Daft Punk Soundtrack but you really could hear that it was their first one ever.
I'm kind of disappointed but when i think i about it, then i can live with this decision.

Re: Daft Punk Nominated: 54th Annual Grammy Awards
12th Feb 2012, 23:17 #123They usually only show the major awards during the televised ceremony (like best album, best new artist, etc.) but they hand out the majority of the awards during the day, which includes these. You can see who won on the Grammy website.
I haven't seen The King's Speech or heard its score, so I can't say anything for or against it. I am bummed that the boys didn't win, but oh well. Winning or not winning a Grammy doesn't change the fact that the Tron Legacy soundtrack is incredible and a triumph for Thomas and Guy-Man, personally and professionally. And good for Skrillex on winning the remix award, he is awesome. He was nominated for a bunch of categories, and that's pretty amazing for someone so young and still fairly new to the business.

The King's Speech was a brilliant movie, one of my favouritrs from last year ( probably #1 ) but its soundtrack never really stood out to me. Still, its not like t&g do it for the awards so im not crushed.Thomas Bangalter on EDM - "Maybe it's just one guy called Eric David Morris."This is the alcohol your son has been killed by an police.

12th Feb 2012, 23:36 #125Well i was just getting my expectations up a bit too high... We should look forward to some album announcement n stuff. And i will give the kings speech soundtrack a listen.
But with a song, it’s all about the title. Once the title is there, there is a story waiting to be told. I don’t really know why it’s like it but that’s how it happens for me. The title comes to me and after that, it’s done. I know the beat, the chords, everything, it’s been composed. - Bob Cornelius Rifo

13th Feb 2012, 00:00 #126Sure, the king's speech was good, but the tron soundtrack was so creative and original. I think the only reason the king's speech won was because of all the hype surrounding the movie. I'm incredibly dissapointed.
