To be honest, I don't attach much more than zero credibility to your name just because you work for / with the festival. Actually, I'd take your word for less for that specific reason. Promoters constantly come up with rumours about big acts playing, especially Daft Punk, just to spark an interest in the festival that it otherwise might not've gotten, and we've seen countless times that "sightings of Daft Punk in ..." are nothing but a sketchy marketing scheme to increase ticket sales.
Secondly, your credibility isn't really helped by the fact that you named the thread "rumour" and ask everybody else for info and confirmation, and then, when called out on the more than likely dud that the whole thing is, start getting offensive and emphasizing your affiliation with the festival, even though said affiliation is completely irrelevant, because you heard it from a friend and didn't "obtain", in a manner of speaking, the information yourself.
Say I'm a homeless guy, who happens to be best friends with Pedro Winter. My retellings of Pedro's information aren't less credible just because I'm homeless.

So please, get off your high horse, and start handling confrontation in an appropriate manner.
