So I went to the Grammy's Museum in L.A...

I would have taken my own photos, but they don't allow public photography and I was not going to risk getting in trouble with the group I went with.

But anyway, given they're in there, enclosed in glass cases, I think it's safe to say that if (or when) they go on a tour again, I don't think we're going to see the encore suits anymore...

Also- It was a bit of a let down that the Grammy's Museum didn't bother to make an effort to show the backside of the suit's with "Daft Punk" lit up in red. I had to stand at a weird angle to really see the details.

So, are these the actual suits that they wore during the Alive 2007 tours or are they just replicas?
The number of people who thought that the equipment wrote the song for you... "well anybody could do it with the same equipment you've got"... F*** OFF! It's all played by hand... believe me, if there was a button on a synth or a drum machine that said 'hit single', I would have pressed it as often as anybody else would have.

They're the suits from the Grammy 2008 performance, which we can probably assume are the same ones from Alive 2007. It's weird they have the up against a wall..They should be in the middle of the room so you can walk around them and stuff. Still, awesome. I would probably flip my ****e seeing them.

I would only assume they had made one set of these suits and multiples of the other, non-lighted ones. The location of them is literally at the beginning of the tour on the fourth floor, the elevator door opens and you see it in a room with a big projection of kanye accepting his grammy(s). The whole museum is pretty interactive but i think electronic music is overlooked throughout the whole thing. They also have Kanye's suit from the performance in another section. It's actually not EL wire on his glasses and coat, but small led squares.

It's funny we all flip out over these displays and critique it. There's some weird line between us and society. You either know Daft Punk and know about them well, or you don't know them at all.

and i bet there is another thread out there about this already, but a little reminder of this is good too.
