Blitzkin's Thomas Helmet
24th Mar 2012, 17:10 #1Hello, after all i learned from my first attempt at making Guy's helm: http://www.thedaftclub.com/forum/sho...-LEDs-incoming
I decided to start making Thomas helmet, small progress so far, but it will be a way faster build than the first one, with much more quality
here it goes:

Since you are going for the HAA style, I suggest you try out this pep on post number 44:
http://www.thedaftclub.com/forum/sho...tle-Bro!/page5
The pep you are using right now is somewhat outdated: Not only was it originally intended to be a discovery Era helmet, it also has some accuracy discrepancies. The one In the link is about 95% percent accurate to the HAA style of Thomas Bangalter's helmet.
Either way, i'm sure your helmet will be awesome!

Dont forget to check if the pep crank mentioned needs to be resized though
And a tip for thread linking: If you put #44 at the end of the thread link it will jump to the post

26th Mar 2012, 17:16 #7Oh well, when i got the pepakura i was so excited to build that i didnt notice it wasn't the right one
the scale of mine is also off, i'll have to redo this.
so.. what shud i do with this pep helmet? D:
is it possible to turn it into a Encore version?
Re: Blitzkin's Thomas Helmet
26th Mar 2012, 22:56 #8Well if you are interested, you should try to tackle the discovery helmet. People usually build the HAA era helmets , so rarely do the discovery era helmets get made. The differences between the Transition Helmets and the Discovery helmets are quite drastic, so if you don't want your hard pepping skills to go to waste.....try the discovery helmet.
Heck, why don't you try to make a mold and cast some discovery buckets? I'd sure be interested in a cast, and i'm sure other people would be too. I know your work is top quality.
And yes, you could do an encore version too.Last edited by Crank729; 27th Mar 2012 at 01:01.

Sorry you had to restart again due to my suggestion, but this helmet will give you a better end product, i'm sure of it. Looking forward to your build!
