    Internet Friends' vocal effect help...

as of lately i have really been in love with knife party and anything associated with them or pendulum.

the song 'internet friends' has a woman computer voice that can be found on xtranormal.com (UK English Woman 1). my question is does anyone know how to get the same effect they use on the voice to make it sound more like theirs? since i found out what voice they used i've really been wanting to make my own sayings so when i play them to friends they would flip out and think it's cool. kinda cheesy but still.

here's a video of the song if you haven't heard it.

i'm no good at these sort of things, and the xtranormal web page took a while to load, but i have a few guesses.
it almost seems like a flanger with a very subtle speed/width, but it seems some other setting was tampered (frequency, perhaps?).
my second guess; they overlapped the monologue with a duplicate, but threw a light pitch bend on that duplicate.
or... there's a very quick and sharp "ping-pong" delay, which probably gives it a kind of "metallic" sound.

Yeah I need help on this too! I'm practicing re-creating the original "You blocked me On Facebook, and now you're going to die" vocals etc. etc. On its own it sounds ok, but then I realise how, 'un-effected' it is when I try and merge the original; "You blocked me on Facebook" with my 'home made'' "and now you're going to die" and vice versa. I have tried everything you said (@tom2991) but the above problem still stands. I have been trying to EQ it and it actually does make it sound more like the original, anyone suggestions on where to EQ/what modulation should be used? Thanks!

    http://www.oddcast.com/home/demos/tts/tts_example.php

Try a few of the female voices on here, Pendulum have used one of these exact voices on "Blood Sugar" so there is a chance that Rob may have used this tool again.

I'll also give you a tip, in "Blood Sugar" the pauses that the speaker makes are slightly different to what comes straight out of the tool I have sent you, so you may have to re-arrange each word so that it sound similar.

Hope that helps Good luck with whatever you are doing :P

P.S I haven't had the chance to try each voice (As I am on a mobile device), therefore you'll have to try it yourself, so sorry if it's not the right voice :/

    Regards,
    Dave
